Good Corporate Citizen Award

On 6 December 2013, Airswift was awarded the Good Corporate Citizen (GCC) Award in Papua New Guinea for our commitment to employing and training Papua New Guineans as well as compliance with labour and immigration laws. This initiative was taken up by the Department of Labour and Industrial Relations as part of showing appreciation to organizations for their service to the people of PNG.

Airswift was the only workforce solutions company who is recognised as a Good Corporate Citizen. Good Corporate Citizens are business which are recognised for their contribution to training PNG workers and for complying with PNG labour and other laws.

Through our business practice of a Good Corporate Citizen, our clients can benefit through:

  • Ability to obtain Long Term Work Permits which is valid up to five (5) years,
  • Priority processing of applications and renewals.

This recognition was obtained through our commitment to working with and supporting PNG community and our compliant services we provide.

Langley Program

Inspired by Ian Langley, chairman of Airswift Group, whose decision it was to acquire Pacifica HR in PNG in 2010; the Langley Graduate Program was initiated by the Vice President of Australasia, Matthew Smith, in partnership with PNGHRI President, Jerry Wemin. Since 2012, the Langley Program has invested over K400,000 in the career development of 86 UPNG graduates holding a Bachelor in Business, majoring in Human Resources, through intense pre-employment training.

The program comprises of three Human Resource Certificate courses through PNGHRI, a 12-week secondment, a variety of professional development workshops, seminars, practical assignments, volunteer and networking opportunities and mentoring secondary students. The program also gives our clients and local companies the potential to find excellent long-term employees, at no cost to them, during the graduates’ secondment period. The main objective is for all the graduates to find permanent employment before the program’s completion and to date has a 90% success rate.
