Our client is seeking an Accounting Analyst II to work within their facilities located in Houston, TX for a 6-month contract, in a full-time position.
Responsibilities:
- Book transactions associated with the purchases and sales of refined products
- Support the Commercial Operations and interact with Commercial product schedulers/traders and external customers
- Work with inventory management for volume discrepancies which may be found on the back end
- Assist with monthly accruals, reconciliations and resolve open items in a timely manner
- Provide ad hoc reporting and support business initiatives
- Develop relationships with third party vendors as a representative of the company
- Review contracts to interpret contractual obligations and identify
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 3-5 years of experience with trading or scheduling within Oil and Gas
- Experience with SAP (RightAngle would be a plus)
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Movement Capture Analysis
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to build relationships and interact effectively with a variety of people/disciplines both internal and external
