Airswift is seeking an Audit Manager, permanent position in Aracruz with a major Shipyard Company.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Policy, Structures and Guidelines
Ensure compliance with the Institute of Internal Auditors' International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing;
Assist in developing and maintaining the department's policies, structure and guidelines relating to the operation of a Brazil-based team to undertake a risk-based review to ensure that all major Group risks are identified and related countermeasures are reviewed on an annual basis;
Assist and assess the effectiveness of the Group's risk management, internal controls and corporate governance policies, structures and guidelines, adopting the latest relevant governance rules, policies and practices whenever possible, with a specific focus on operations in Brazil;
Assist in the preparation of reports to the Audit and Management Committee on the adequacy and effectiveness of the policies and procedures of the Brazil operations, the problems and challenges identified and the proposed action plans In order to implement a strategy to fulfill the LA's functions defined in the Internal Statutes and Audit Policy in Brazil
Help schedule audit activities and manage audit resources in Brazil, and make relevant recommendations.
Implements and supervises audit activities in Brazil taking into account peak periods, major projects and staff leave plans;
Help identify opportunities for value-added consulting services (eg, pre-implementation system review);
Reviews the adequacy and effectiveness of business and operational process and internal controls in Brazil operations;
Monitors progress of audits conducted in Brazil by external auditors and concerns arising;
Audit work papers reviewer for assigned projects;
Reports Brazil specific issues and challenges identified during audit process and work with management to develop action plans to address problems In order to audit the risks areas and provide the assurance that controls in place in Brazil are adequate and effective.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor of Accounting, or related areas.
Recognized qualification of the accounting professional, for example Internal Auditor Certificate or Statutory Auditor.
Advanced English
