Airswift is looking for a Business Analyst Governance to work for a major LNG Client in Houston, TX, for an initial 1-year assignment. 

The Business Process Analyst reports to the Manager of Project Governance, E&C, and is responsible for assessing and analyzing defining, and documenting E&C’s business process requirements, capturing, and communicating challenges and opportunities, assisting in the definition and design of solutions, managing stakeholder expectations, establishing and tracking requirements traceability, and ensuring deliverables are aligned with stakeholder needs and within the pre-defined scope of the project.
KNOWLEDGE
  • Knowledgeable of project governance, assurances, and delivery methodologies. Knowledge of basic project management functions and project stages is required. PMP certification and/or PMI-PBA certification are a plus.
  • This position requires knowledge of developing business processes and procedures needed to satisfy the functional objectives of a department. This position requires a person who is highly computer literate, and competent in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and OneNote. Should have familiarity with SharePoint and Documentum and tools for data analytics.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • • Apply business knowledge to effectively document and communicate the requirements that define a project’s scope. Document with context diagrams and other methods.
  • • Identify and engaging the appropriate project stakeholders throughout project life cycles to support the definition, development, and implementation of department initiatives
  • ? Participate in facilitated group sessions and individual workshops to gather general information and specific business requirements
  • ? Target questions and conduct analysis based on an understanding of the project scope, business environment and consequences of solutions.
  • • Manage the update and revision of governing documents, ensuring that stakeholders and SMEs are notified of the requirements to keep them current and effective throughout the life cycle.
  • • Assist in the performance of functional verification exercises, peer reviews and audits, and issue status report on assurance activities.
  • • Setup, monitor and report on data-driven analytics to measure and report on compliance with procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS)
  • • Education and Certifications: Bachelor's Degree, with specialization in management and/or administration preferred. Additional training and/or certification in project management, PMI or others, will be an asset.
  • • Experience: 5 years in the full life cycle of business analysis duties, including interviewing stakeholders for gathering requirements, documentation, and reporting. Experience in a business analyst role, specifically on a project assurance and project implementation, a plus.

  • Experience in a business analyst role, which includes providing organizational support for departmental managers and leaders. Experience in organizing and coordinating plans and programs to support compliance evaluation with business processes and systems.
  • • Skills and abilities: Strong organizational skills. Detail oriented and has the flexibility to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities, and rapid changes. Adds value by delivering work products of the highest quality. Exceptional written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills. Proficient at understanding and modeling complicated business processes into a usable and understandable form, including identification and resolution of gaps and/or redundancies in existing processes. Proficient at technical writing, setting up templates and document formatting. Ability to plan and organize work and follow up to determine progress and updates. Ability to collaborate with individuals and groups from different disciplines and departments in E&C and outside of E&C. Capable of preparing reports in MS Word and Excel, as well as PowerPoint presentations.

WORK CONDITIONS
  • Job is performed in a typical office environment, but is subject to time pressures and constraints, and is often dependent on input from others. Periodic travel to sites may be necessary as business requirements may demand. Subject to drug and alcohol testing, per applicable federal regulations or as required by the company.
