Our client who specializes in battery and demand response management for commercial and industrial customers is seeking a Business Development Manager/Regional Sales Manager to work remotely near Toronto, ON.

Required Skills:

  • A strong sales and business development background with an ability to apply business development techniques to develop and shape long-term opportunities to sale
  • Ability to accurately forecast sales cycles
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills – able to confidently present sophisticated technical concepts to a wide variety of stakeholders including operations managers, engineers, facility managers and CFO’s
  • Ability to influence and negotiate throughout complex, technical sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders
  • Objective focus
  • First-rate customer management skills, coupled with strong listening and communications skills
  • Experienced sales territory manager, able to develop and execute regional growth plans
  • Team player, able to work both individually and on team projects
  • Commercially aware
  • Well-honed interpersonal skills
  • Existing relationships / contacts with Canadian-based industrial and commercial consumers is desirable, but not essential
  • Trained at least one sales methodology (i.e. SPIN, TAS, Miller – Heiman)
  • Experience of working in SalesForce CRM and MS office (particularly MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word)

Education & Certification:

  • S/he will possess significant experience in a customer-facing role (internal or external) with interdisciplinary internal collaboration and coordination responsibilities.
