Position Summary:
The Engineering Data Management (EDM) Coordinator will ensure process safety and productivity by delivering an integrated digital asset compliant with the operator environment. The successful candidate will report to the Project Engineering Manager and functionally report to the EDM Manager in Perth, Australia.
They will oversee verification activities on delivered engineering data and audit the management of the change process to enable trusted data and confidence in process safety decisions. The EDM Lead will ensure safety-critical data and deliverables are readily available to the right people at the right time. They will also resolve conflict and facilitate outcomes between the EPC contractor and the Company in support of project key objectives.
Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
- Perform verification activities on delivered engineering data and audit the management of the change process to enable trusted data and confidence in process safety decisions
- Ensure safety-critical data and deliverables are readily available to the right people at the right time
- Resolve conflict and facilitate outcomes between EPC contractor and the Company in support of project key objectives
- Manage Engineering Master Data and Engineering Systems using the Company Management System (CMS)
- Ensure the contractor creates, links, and manages engineering data with high integrity, and that they plan and execute verification such that engineering data can be converted and delivered into the Company nominated applications for the integrated digital engineering environment
- Develop a project engineering data management plan, including data integration as required
- Develop a project engineering data handover schedule
- Ensure data received from the contractor meets the requirements for inclusion into the Company’s in-service data management systems
- Conduct verification and assurance of the contractor’s engineering data in line with verification and assurance plans
- Ensure the application of the Company standards and processes
- Delivery of engineering data and deliverables as per the Projects Deliverable Procedure
- Coordinate EDM analysts and design tool administrators to deliver outcomes aligned with Company Compass values
Skills & Experience:
- Experience in engineering data management best practices
- Experience with the management of enterprise engineering applications
- Experience on Major Oil & Gas projects in either greenfield or operational phases
- Developed communication & negotiation skills
- Knowledge of the suite of engineering design tools (SPEL, SPI, SPID, E3D)
- Understanding of the full asset lifecycle from concept selection to decommissioning
- Experience dealing with a BPO organization
- B. Eng or IT qualification
