We are currently recruiting a Category and Contract Management Specialist for a globally renowned manufacturer of rolling stock and industrial machinery.
You will be accountable for supporting procurement matters including category management strategies, contract administration, process control management, dispute resolution, supplier performance review.
Location- Brisbane, Newcastle, or Perth

Responsibilities
- Supporting Category Management specialists in the development of key strategies
- Delivering category management and sourcing outcomes that satisfy customer needs and company revenue targets
- Contract administration including preparation and updating of contractual terms and conditions
- Developing/drafting procurement contract documentation, RFI and RFP
- Analysing supplier performance, ensuring performance meets company targets and expectations
- Support of negotiation with suppliers
- Identifying and mitigating procurement, supplier and contract risk
- Ensuring adherence to relevant legislation, legal requirements and corporate policies/procedures
- Maintaining rebate, warranty, insurance, defect liability and dispute resolution management controls
- Bachelor of Commerce, Business Law, Engineering or related discipline desirable
- Qualifications in contract law or recognised industry body such as CIPS, AAPCM is desirable
- Proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, AX etc
- Experience working for OEMs within rail, aviation, mining, heavy industry or supply chain industry – ideally tier 1, blue chip or publicly listed companies
- Rail industry knowledge related to regulations and requirements is desirable, or familiarity with similar industrial legislation
- An understanding of continuous improvement methodologies (such as Lean, Six Sigma)
