About the Role:

Our client is seeking a skilled Civil Designer to join their dynamic team in Perth. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a major iron ore project, with a focus on delivering high-quality, innovative solutions.

Key Details:

  • Location: Perth
  • Duration: initial 6 months
  • Reporting to: Civil Department Manager

Responsibilities:

Civil Designer to join a large multidisciplinary project team based in Perth, CBD.

This large-scale project aims to maintain a large production of iron ore in Western Australia and is valued at more than $1 billion. The project scope is focused on civil earthworks, roads, material handling transfer pads, non-process infrastructure pads, surface water management and drainage.

  • Preparation of civil designs for the earthwork's scopes of work
  • Providing technical expertise, advice and recommendations during the design phase
  • Liaising with engineers and drafters for project designs and specifications
  • Preparing design drawings in accordance with client & industry requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Advanced Diploma, Diploma or Associate Degree
  • Proficiency with MicroStation
  • Intermediate Level: 5+ years Civil design experience
  • Senior Level: 8+ years Civil design experience
  • Extensive design experience on mining and earthworks projects
  • Earthworks design experience using MicroStation
  • Relevant prior experience in the design of roads, drainage and pads for mining infrastructure and facilities
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly
  • A keen eye for detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with others
  • Experience in civil design in the Pilbara region is advantageous
  • Experience from EPCM Environment ideal
