The Role:

- Interface with the client and contractors on site to understand long term maintenance plans, schedules and deadlines
- Provide reports & analysis to assist in the review and improvement of maintenance tasks and strategy
- Identification of risks and cost reductions opportunities and continuous improvement.
- Produce estimates in line with scope of works and schedule in line with the goals set by the construction manager
- Advise, assist and support Extension of Time Claim delay analysis as requested by the Project Management teams

Airswift has an exciting opportunity available for a Long-Term Large Project Construction Scheduler located in Houston, TX.
About you
You will act as a technical resource for Project Controls within the Global Project Methodology (GPM) work process. Supports the establishment of the overall schedule baseline and reporting to monitor and control the project within established tolerances of the baseline supporting efficient project execution. Coordinates data inputs from the various contractors and functions to ensure accurate forecasts and reporting of construction scope of work. Engages with the project steering team to understand causes of the deviation and the need to establish actions to mitigate, where deviations from established tolerances occur. Requires in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge in project controls, construction, and basic knowledge of related job disciplines.
Also, you can complete each of the following tasks:
- Promotes discipline knowledge exchange and quality application through technical coaching.
- Contributes to improvement of Schedule Management Work Process and leveraging of learning experiences.
- Provides recommendations on cycle time reduction opportunities and techniques, as applied to scheduling.
- Develops schedule management plans for project plans for management and control.
- Develops conceptual schedules to evaluate various alternates or anticipated schedule challenges.
- Assist in developing and maintaining comprehensive integrated master project schedules including Front-end Loading, Detail Design, Procurement, Construction and Start-up/Commissioning Project Stages.
- Maintains construction schedule during the project life cycle monitoring progress and incorporating modifications where changes in the original scope occur or delays are encountered.
- Utilizes project cost estimates to resource load project schedules and gain alignment with estimated scope of work and the project schedule.
- Performs staffing density checks or staffing limitation checks to validate schedule durations and ensures resource-leveling supports the project strategy.
- Leads project teams in forecasting schedule challenges and offers analyses and solutions to complete the project on schedule.
- Performs critical path analysis to determine critical areas regarding project schedule and resource overloads and offers alternative courses of action to the project team.
- Evaluates project deviations to assess schedule impact for proper decision making and recovery plans.
- Works with cost management to gain alignment when forecasting schedule completion dates and cost reporting.
- Applies established schedule management practices to ascertain critical schedule issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Defines comprehensive Schedule Management solutions for capital and expense projects.
- Assist in quantity tracking and installation rates
- Performs quantity surveys to validate construction progress
Required qualifications
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree in any discipline or 10 years of experience in project controls, engineering, manufacturing, or related experience or relevant military experience at or above a U.S. E6 ranking OR Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class ranking.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in project controls, engineering, manufacturing, or related experience
- A minimum of 5 years' experience with Primavera P6

Our client is seeking an Electrical Engineer Lead to work within their facilities located in Houston, TX, Allentown, PA, or Buffalo, NY (you can choose) for a 1-year assignment.
Job Responsibilities:

Lead an electrical engineering and design team on large scale projects containing multiple process units with multiple execution strategies from various global design centers.

Position requires ability to manage and coordinate with overall project management team, other functional discipline teams, and project engineering managers to maintain budget and schedule to meet functional execution strategy.

Development of electrical single line diagrams and overall plant electrical distribution systems.

Coordination with utility and/or customer to develop required power for operating plants.

Specifying and purchasing key electrical equipment such as medium and low voltage switchgear and motor control centers, transformers, VFD’s, UPS systems, DC systems, etc. Responsibilities include writing purchase specifications, evaluating quotations, performing technical bid evaluations, vendor document review, and factory acceptance testing.
- Specifying large induction and synchronous motors and starting systems including reduced voltage autotransformers, reactor start, electronic soft-start/VFD/LCI, etc.
- Specifying and integrating gas turbine and steam turbine generators for co-generation within process plants.

Performing electrical system studies including short circuits, load flow, transient motor start, protection relay coordination, and arc flash, and creating appropriate protective device settings.

Provide start-up and commissioning support for electrical distribution equipment and motors.
Required Skills:

BS Degree in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in the design of industrial electrical power systems.

Professional Engineer license is required.

Computer literate and experienced in the use of SKM Power Tools, MS Word, and MS Excel.

Candidate must be self-motivated, able to work with a minimum level of supervision and accept a high degree of personal responsibility for results.

Able to work within a matrix engineering team environment and communicate effectively with team members, project managers and customers.

Candidate must have the ability to self-execute all electrical engineering and oversee design within a given project as well as lead a team of electrical engineers and designers on larger, more complex projects.
