This is a hybrid position 3 days onsite and 2 working from home, it's a 12-month contract and counts with good benefits.

 

Key Requirements:

Expertise:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Cloud Services Engineer with a strong cross-functional knowledge base in network, database, web services, AI, and infrastructure.

Database Skills:

  • Proficiency in databases is a plus.

Programming/Scripting:

  • Bonus points for proficiency in languages such as PowerShell, Python, Terraform, and C#.

Cloud Mastery:

  • A comprehensive understanding of cloud delivery models, including PaaS, SaaS, and IaaS.

IaC Champion:

  • Strong expertise in Azure Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts.

Network Wizard:

  • In-depth understanding of tenant-to-tenant network communications in Azure.

CI/CD Familiarity:

  • Knowledge of continuous integration/deployment processes and tools like IDEs (Eclipse), Source Code Management (GIT/Stash), Jenkins, and Maven.

Soft Skills:

  • Exceptional interpersonal, leadership, collaboration, facilitation, and negotiation skills.

Certifications:

  • Azure certifications like AZ-303, AZ-304, or equivalent are a big plus.

Availability:

  • Willingness to participate in a server "On-Call" rotation, providing 24x7 support for server emergencies.

Experience:

  • Minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in Azure cloud services and infrastructure management.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.

 

Responsibilities:

As a Cloud Services Engineer on our team, you will:

  • Design and Build: Create and manage cloud infrastructure using Azure and Terraform.
  • IaC Implementation: Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using tools like Terraform and ARM templates.
  • Network Connectivity: Design and implement tenant-to-tenant network communications for secure and optimal interconnectivity between Azure environments.
  • Security & Reliability: Ensure the security, scalability, and reliability of our company's cloud infrastructure and applications.
  • Collaborate: Work closely with DevOps, Development, and IT teams to develop cloud strategies and best practices.
  • Troubleshoot: Identify and resolve issues related to Azure infrastructure and associated services.
  • Stay Updated: Keep up-to-date with the latest Azure features, pricing, and best practices to optimize cost and performance.
  • Support Migration: Provide technical expertise and support for Azure migration projects.
  • Automation: Automate routine tasks and infrastructure deployments using Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and scripting.
  • Documentation: Document architectural designs, procedures, and best practices for implemented cloud solutions.
