Main Responsibility:
Ensure all activities for Coating & Insulation discipline related to Topside construction are planned,
performed, and documented in accordance with the project contracts specifications and requirements.
Responsibility will include:
- Be visible and engaged within HSSE and act as a Safety Ambassador.
- Follow-up that all surface treatment and insulation work is performed with emphasis on safety and required quality and comply with Project requirements and specifications.
- Make sure that reporting is timely and accurate.
- Follow-up actions towards Lead, Supervisors, Engineering.
- Cooperate with inspectors from other disciplines in site team.
- Follow-up that Contractors personnel are qualified in accordance with project requirements.
- Follow-up that Contractor construction and quality control departments implement activities as per the required procedures, specification, standards throughout all the phase of construction.
- Follow-up work progress against plans and schedules and highlight areas of concern and possible corrective actions.
- Seek advice and clarification from relevant Lead for ensuring decisions are taken in time and with necessary understanding.
- Ensure that inspections are reported as needed and follow-up Contractor’s quality findings and NCRs. Ensure that agreed reporting systems are used to document inspections and findings.
- Follow up receipt and storage of paint and insulation materials.
- Monitor and control the inspection devices, ensure all should be calibrated with valid date and calibration certificate should be documented in the designated file for auditing purpose.
- Participate in inspection and audit the contractor and sub-contractor’s painting workshop and facilities.
- Participate in inspection activities according to Inspection and Test plan (ITP) as required and in area / system punch out as required.
- Participate in P3 inspection (as per ISO 8501-part 3) for release and pre-blasting.
- Supervise with contractor/subcontractor work areas that can be handed over and priorities with other disciplines to be more effective.
- Support Contractor/Subcontractor supervisor and solve the findings daily.
- Be actively engaged in discussing and directing Contractor supervisors in their daily work plan as per priority and prepare and update weekly available work front,
- Participate in area/system/subsystem walkdown (MC activities) and verify/acknowledge ITR as required.
- Work closely with contractor so that mechanical completion can be achieved without punch listed items.
- Follow up and verify contractor closing of punch items as required.
- Follow up “dynamic” works assigned by the coating & insulation Lead.
