Role Overview
- Act as the project team's expert on prime contracts and provide advice on all contractual matters.
- Proactively participate in change management process to ensure early identification and pursuit of commercial entitlement.
- Serve as focal point for embedding loss avoidance techniques and coordinating mitigation strategies for potential claims and disputes.
- Provide project financial information and management to support client's rolling forecast and business planning.
- Regularly review project performance against targets and identify corrective actions with Project Director to maximize margins.
- Ensure timely issuance of contract notices in accordance with prime contract.
- Maintain risk register and manage contingency drawdown or release to margin.
- Assist Project Director with commercial matters in monthly Project Reviews (WPRs).
Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience in administration of prime contracts and close out.
- Thorough understanding of risks in engineering and construction industry.
- Ability to actively participate in contractual negotiations.
- Experience in managing potential client's claims.
- Knowledge of project and business financial reporting.
- Understanding of project cost base and basis for gross margin.
- Previous experience working with Middle East based clients preferred.
- Familiarity with NEC type contracts preferred.
- Degree and preferably chartered status.
Education & Experience
- Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Management or related field, or equivalent experience preferred.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications in commercial management or contracts management advantageous.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial management or business management roles.
