Our client seeks a Senior Expeditor / Materials Controller for a 2 and 1 role to FIFO from any capital city of Australia.
Responsibilities will include:
- Provide continuous insight into supplier's progress towards meeting purchase order requirements, particularly delivery schedules.
- Develop alternative and timely schemes to keep progress on schedule for project requirements.
- Ensure adherence with company and project expediting policies and procedures and act within limits of delegated authority.
- Work with buyers, engineering, planning, project controls, construction, HSE and quality to ensure purchase order requirements are understood and complied with by the supplier.
- Establish formal and informal communications with assigned suppliers to enable timely, accurate and forward-looking analysis of supplier's progress at meeting interim delivery schedules of supplier data, manufacturing milestones, material deliveries, testing activities and material and equipment delivery.
- Track supplier data information movement to and from the supplier, documenting the progress in the progress management system.
- Assist in the maintenance and operation of a materials control system for the site and ensure adherence to relevant company and project policies and procedures.
- Determine and report in ERM overages, shortages, non-conforming and damaged materials and equipment.
- Develop and implement plans to remedy discrepancies and negative impacts caused by these anomalies. Liaise with the project procurement team to report deliveries and any discrepancies.
- Identify surplus material and process its movement through the disposal and scrap process.
- Perform or assist in periodic audits of stores, warehouse, tool cribs and free issue stocks as required by company procedure or customer
About you:
To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:
- Strong experience in a similar role working on a mine site will be preferred
- Competent with warehousing & materials management processes
- Familiar with ERP system for inventory & purchasing process (or similar software system)
- Ability to work autonomously on a developing site from construction through to operations stages.
- Competent with record keeping, document filing and weekly reporting

Planner
Acting as the Engineering Service Provider, you will work across our Mine & Rail Sustaining Capital portfolio providing clients with planning and scheduling as part of the project feasibility study phases, through to execution. You will have the opportunity to work across a variety of projects including Roads, Rail, Ports, Energy and Water across the Mining and Resources sector.
On offer is an initial 12 month contract, Perth based
- Communicate with key stakeholders to identify critical information relevant to the Planning Phase of the Project.
- Interface collaboratively with Project Engineers and Design resources to capture scheduling events in real time, to ensure schedule development remains realistic and useable.
- Self-perform the development of major project schedules using P6 and/or MS Project.
- Maintain, report and interpret project schedules providing clear insights to the Project Management Team and Client Stakeholders.
- Participate in internal, external and contract discussions regarding activity, scheduling and prioritisation.
- Assist in the analysis of information and producing related reports, proposals and other documents.
- Develop performance metrics for projects and project managers.
About you:
- The ability to communicate with relevant stakeholders to extract the critical information required.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret and challenge schedule inputs.
- An intimate knowledge of Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.
- The Ability to work closely with key stakeholders to obtain relevant information, then self-perform schedule development and updates in support of the Team’s objectives.
- Relevant Bachelor’s degree – Engineering or Construction Management
- Demonstrated experience meeting deadlines whilst managing emerging priorities

One of our major clients in the Mining & Metals industry is looking for an Underground?Heavy Duty Mechanic for a one-year contract to work in Lac de Gras (Northern Territories of Canada). There is a huge possibility to extend the contract for another year since the project will go on until 2026.
The client is offering Fly-in/Fly-out from Edmonton/Yellowknife/Fort Smith to Nunavut, BC (Northern Territories of Canada - area where Lac de Gras is located).
Also, for you to know, if you don’t have Underground experience, and have only worked as a Heavy Duty Mechanic you could suit the role as well. You only need to have experience with Atlas Mining and/or Sandvik Mining and Rock Technology equipment.
We are looking for a Heavy Duty Mechanic with Underground experience that will be responsible for repairing heavy mining equipment in a safe, environmentally friendly, and cost-effective manner to ensure equipment availability is maximized.

Responsibilities
- Perform cost-effective, safe, and environmentally friendly repairs to maximize equipment availability.
- The incumbent will be working on but not limited to Epiroc MT6020 haul trucks, Boltecs, Simbas, Jumbos, autonomous ST14 scoop trams, ST1530, ST18 scoop trams, Normet shotcrete sprayers, transmixers, etc.
- The mine is primarily Epiroc equipment.
- Fill out the work orders and reports on repairs and diagnoses prior to the end of each shift.
- Provide sufficient detail about repairs so that others can understand what work has been done on the equipment.
- Keep work areas clean and free of safety hazards continuously.
- Conduct safety audits as per company policy.
- Provide written reports to the Mobile Maintenance Supervisor as requested.
- Adhere to safety and environmental rules and contribute to safety and productivity by constructively participating in safety meetings and incident investigations.
- Conduct equipment reviews to ensure new and existing equipment meets site safety and operational requirements.
- Assist other tradespersons to achieve Maintenance goals as required.
- Help develop Heavy Duty Mechanic apprentices including delegating tasks or projects that will assist with their skill development and meet apprenticeship requirements.
- Journeyperson certification as a Heavy Duty Mechanic.
- Interprovincial Red Seal certification.
- Understanding of the NWT Mines Act.
- Familiarity with new technologies and equipment (e.g., Cat SIS, Cummins Insight, etc.).
- Ability to maintain and repair industrial equipment.
- Proven oral, written, and active listening skills and ability to work in high-stress situations and resolve issues.
- 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off (first week: dayshift, second week: nightshift).
- Current St. John’s Ambulance Standard First Aid Certificate with CPR.
- Training on the Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS).
