Our client is seeking a Project Communications Engineer to work within their facilities located in Perth, Australia.
The Company
A blue-chip company in the technology sector. With several upgrade projects currently underway in their resource’s portfolio, they are looking for a Project Communications Engineer to assist with this.
The Role
The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, multi-tasker, and demonstrated team-player. You will work in the program team to assist with analysis and development of scopes of work, designs, documentation specific to oil/gas operating assets, and taking life-cycle ownership of the Management of Change (MOC) and Digital Change processes. The artefacts, MOC entries, and Digital Changes created will support engineering, implementation, commissioning, and close-out of planned works.
This is a Perth based 12-months contracting opportunity with strong likelihood for extension.
Responsibilities
- Develop engineering and change management documentations to satisfy project delivery framework.
- Ensure all documentation is aligned to and compliant with the Australian and Client's communications and electrical standards, as well as handover-to-support processes and procedures.
- Work closely with Client's architects and engineers, and other discipline SMEs, as well as other relevant and related parties required.
- Engage with key technical stakeholders to allow delivery of solutions for the successful delivery of project.
Requirements
- Project Engineering experience in Networks and/or Telecommunications.
- Proven Stakeholders Management experience.
- Perth based with Australian Full working rights.
Qualifications
A tertiary qualification or equivalent is essential.

Road Lighting Contractor – Brisbane, QLD

With over 800 employees and 6,000 contractors operating in over 50 countries, our geographical reach and pool of talent available is unmatched in the industry.Airswift is seeking a Road Lighting Contractor to work on a 4-month assignment in Brisbane, QLD with a Infrastructure Company.
The purpose of the role is to be responsible for the operation of streetlights that are either owned by Company Client or Energex. This includes regular inspections, maintenance programs, investigate requests for public lighting compliance, maintain lighting electrical reticulation, implement appropriate lighting solutions as well as investigating and resolving customer complaints such as spill lights.
Responsibilities:
- Complete all work to Company Client procedures, policy and standards and ensuring review of these to maintain effectiveness and efficiency.
- Provide technical advice and prepare preliminary road lighting designs (P Category and V Category), sketch plans and job briefs in accordance with AS1158, Energex Public Lighting Manual and Company Client’s Street Lighting Design Guidelines.
- Investigate and resolve requests for road lighting improvement and spill light issues by carrying out site inspections, participating in community consultation, determining required action and advising complainant of intended action.
- Accurately input data and maintain Company Client Lighting asset registers and databases and carry out auditing of database records and where necessary, take appropriate actions to resolve inaccuracy and exceptions.
- Attend and participate in meetings with internal and external stakeholders and report on progress and issues as required.
- Work in partnership with your team leader to agree performance standards and mutual expectations. Give and receive regular feedback to enable performance to be improved and take personal responsibility for optimising your potential within Company Client.
Essential:
- Extensive skills and knowledge of the principles and practices of road lighting as contained in the AS/NZS 1158 for road lighting (P Category and V Category).
- Extensive skills and knowledge of the principles of obtrusive light as contained in AS/NZS 4282.
- Proven ability to inspect and assess lighting requests and implement appropriate compliant road lighting solutions.
- Knowledge of and experience with software used for lighting design.
- Strongly developed verbal and written communication and negotiation skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with, and influence groups and individuals at all levels in the organisation including elected representatives, external customers and suppliers.
- Ability to coordinate, plan and efficiently implement public lighting maintenance work programs with limited supervision in a team environment.
- Ability to contribute to team direction, give and receive feedback and achieve agreed performance standards to contribute to a culture of performance excellence.
- 8. Demonstrated organisational and time management skills with a proven ability to manage competing priorities to meet tight deadlines and deliver quality service standards.
Desirable:
- Possession of a recognised qualification within the lighting field
- Professional membership from the Illuminating Engineering Society of Australia & New Zealand (minimum Member grade) or equivalent.
- A Queensland Open drivers’ licence.

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the quality control team is staffed with competent resources
- Interdepartmental communication and liaison with the project departments and where required resolve any quality concerns during execution of the project including attendance at key facility project management & coordination meetings.
- Review Contractor documents to ensure project quality requirements have been adequately addressed.
- Assist in the evaluation of Contractor’s management systems.
- In the fabrication yard support Quality Leads in implementing the FPSO quality control plan.
- Provide quality control inputs to weekly and monthly reports.
- Organize, coordinate, and perform Audits and Reviews throughout the execution of the Project
- Ensure Non-Conformances are recorded and tracked through to closure.
- Support updates to the Project Quality Management Plan.
- Other duties as assigned.
Key HSE Responsibilities
- Comply with HSE policies, Life Saving Rules, procedures, goals and program, and roles and responsibilities.
- Demonstrate a commitment to establishing and meeting HSE performance targets and generate ideas for continuous HSE performance improvement.
Experience & Qualifications Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Science or related oil and gas fields.
- Lead Auditor Qualification (ISO9001) from a recognized industry body, with a minimum 5 years, recent auditing experience of oil and gas Vendors.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in major EPCI offshore oil/gas projects in the application of quality control management, including ISO29001.
- Supervision of third party inspection and verification bodies.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain and develop positive relations with internal stakeholders
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to present issues in a clear and concise manner.
- Ability to travel internationally.
