Job Responsibilities:
- Project scoping and development including business cases, stakeholder presentations and approvals
- Project execution including design, procurement, acceptance testing, application integration, construction and commissioning
- Project management including cost and schedule tracking/reporting, stakeholder engagement and coordination of internal and external resources
- Project Engineer working closely with Electrical and Measurement Lead and Automation Advisor
- Utilize and support Management of Change (MOC) processes
- Provide discipline engineering technical support to Operations, Maintenance and Project Teams (including brownfield, greenfield, pilots and special projects)
- Provide technical input for automation development by System Integrators and Vendors
- Support Automation, Process Control and Operational Technology future state planning and development
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; Electrical, Process Control, Instrumentation or relevant degree
- 5 to 15 years of upstream oil & gas or relevant industry engineering experience
- 3+ years’ of experience with the design of AEM solutions using RTUs, PLCs, SCADA, communications, data historians and real-time analytical and visualization systems
- 2+ years’ of experience with the design of instrumentation systems including pressure, level, flow, temperature and toxic gas measurement
- 2+ years’ of experience with the design of power distribution systems, utility and power generation, variable frequency drives and starters
- Knowledge of EI&C systems engineering design, construction and testing documentation and project deliverables
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- Registered P.Eng. in Alberta
