Our client, a major Oil and Gas company, is looking for a Sr. Construction Planner/Scheduler to work on a 13-month contract in Kitimat, BC.

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for systems completion schedule, progress and status for the Company Canada project.
  • Supporting Company Owner's Level 0/1/2 & 3 schedule
  • Supporting Updating and maintaining of Company Canada Project Integration schedule covering construction and systems planning
  • Responsible for Company Plant ISBL construction and planning dashboard on weekly basis
  • Analyse and monitor Company Plant sub contractor's level 4 precommissioning, construction schedules
  • Support CSU Planner on progress validation of Commissioning progress.
  • Support for analysis and report overall IPS (Integrated Project Schedule) Critical Path, multiple critical paths, total float, free float, forecasting and monitor Key Milestones
  • Support in update and maintain project Interface Milestone Schedule based on individual sub project schedule update and highlight potential concerns to C&P group and leadership team
  • Support Planning team in developing and reporting schedule and progress visual monthly analysis (forecasting, manpower, quantity etc) and leadership package
  • Support for overall schedule’s KPI’s reported and analyze on monthly basis
  • Support central planning team with monthly accoutability planning/progress package
  • Support ad-hoc planning/scheduling/progress presentation/Schedule Risk Analysis to subcommittees and leadership team

Special Challenges:
  • Company Canada project is complex, multi geographical location project. Integration and analysis of schedule with multiple timezone global planning team
  • Company Canada project has multiple critical interfaces.  Highlighting these interfaces to appropriate stakeholders on timely basis is critical to project delivery on time
  • Heavy workload during project monthly reporting cycle

Qualifications:
  • Minium 20+ years of planning/scheduling & progress management experience
  • Skills in Primavera planning is a must
  • Skills in large mega project planning/scheduling and progress management
  • Schedule Risk Analysis
  • Bachelor’s degree is required
  • Prior mega project experience
  • Experience in report writing, editing and formatting.
  • High-level of attention to detail, excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills.
  • Extensive experience during execution phase with Oil and Gas Projects, Company Plant pre-commissioning, commissioning planning is an asset
