Airswift is seeking to invite an experienced Construction Engineer (2116-k) for NFPS Offshore & Pipelines Project (EPCOL).  Work location will be in Karimun Indonesia on 10 weeks on 2 weeks off rotation.

 

 

Job Purpose:

Perform Construction Engineering activities for EPCOL Project, ensuring technical requirements (e.g., project specifications, data sheets, etc.) fully comply with project deliverables and standardized processes and to provide Functional Safety design support with full integration into existing facilities.

 

Reporting and Relationships

•          Reports to Construction Division Manager

Internal

•          Regular interaction with Fabrication, Engineering, Quality, Safety and Support teams.

External

•          Regular contact with contractors, vendors, and subcontractors

 

Job Context & Major Challenge(s)

  • This role conducts Construction evaluations of an EPC Project, including risk-based evaluation of complex technical issues, which may have a significant commercial impact on project execution, ensuring they are compliant, technically qualified and consistent with project requirements.
  • Required to contribute to multi-disciplinary tasks whilst providing expertise in specialised area of fabrication.

 

Job Responsibilities :

o          Construction Engineer is responsible for providing construction engineering support for the site team.

o          Act as focal point for planning and tracking progress and issues for fabrication, Mechanical Completion, and load out activities associated with the timely delivery of the Greenfield fabrication scope.

o          Supports Construction Division Manager & Delivery Leads.

o          Coordinate reviews with Contractor and Engineering teams, including participation in 3D Model review, to ensure constructability, human factors engineering, operability and maintainability requirements and standards are included and understood.

o          Understand the requirements of the contract fabrication Scope of Works inclusive of all aspects including schedule and look ahead plans for all disciplines. Ensures work is in conformance with plans, specifications and schedules.

o          Coordinate interfaces with Quality and Engineering Teams to ensure all work scopes are following project requirements and specifications, including any revisions, additions or re-work identified by Quality or Engineering is performed accordingly.

o          Assist in maintaining effective schedule reporting control functions of the project and ensures adherence to these practices.

o          Establish daily contact with Fabrication Contractor supervision forming good relationships and assisting Fabrication Contractor executes their scope and objectives to project HSE and quality codes and standards.

o          Support monitoring and reporting of work activities and manpower requirements to meet established completion dates, monitors craft personnel levels, material, and equipment needed to meet schedules. Understand KPI targets and monitor progress and have a perspective towards the contractor focus on meeting targets.

o          Prepares and issues weekly / monthly status reports as required

o          Follow up and maintain Site Queries, Fabrication Action Register and Decision Logs

o          Supports Construction Division Manager / Topsides Delivery Lead in identifying and resolving any conflicts / errors / omissions identified on daily / routine basis.

o          Any other engineering tasks deemed to be within individual’s capabilities and competences at the discretion and direction of the Construction Division Manager.

 

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or fabrication and construction equivalent working experience in a similar roll for a minimum of 10 years in the fabrication yard for the client and major EPC contractors.

Knowledge and/or Experience

            10 years’ experience working in engineering in a major project environment within the oil and gas industry and having a broad knowledge of engineering execution including design standards, specifications, codes, safety criteria, offshore facilities design, construction and operations.

5 years’ experience of working on the fabrication site for the client in a similar role.
