Airswift is seeking an Environmental Specialist to join a leading operator in the O&G sector.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as the focal point for the implementation of all mandatory environmental projects, including PAC (Plano Ambiental da Construção).
- Support the permitting processes, ensuring that the project meets all required environmental standards and regulations.
- Conduct relevant fieldwork, including environmental inspections of installation vessels, on-site verifications at construction sites, and providing training sessions.
- Ensure compliance with environmental conditions specified in permits and licenses, particularly during the construction phase.
- Manage contractors, such as environmental consultancies, involved in the implementation of environmental programs.
- Liaise with environmental authorities (e.g., IBAMA, INEA, CETESB) under the guidance of sustainability professionals, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Sciences (Environmental Engineering, Geology, Oceanography, Biology).
- A Master’s degree is desirable.
- Solid experience in implementing environmental projects onshore, including PAC (Plano Ambiental da Construção).
- Strong knowledge of Brazilian environmental legislation and international best practices.
- Previous experience managing external stakeholders.
- 10-15 years of experience in permitting processes and environmental issues.
- Fluency in both English and Portuguese (spoken and written).
