Contract Senior Fundamentals Analyst

Airswift is seeking a Contract Senior Fundamentals Analyst to join one of our major energy oil & gas clients in Calgary, AB, on a 1-year contract with the possibility of being extended.

Reporting to the Manager of Market Fundamentals, the Fundamental Analyst is accountable for developing short and long-term market analyses to identify risks and opportunities in support of corporate decision-making. The successful candidate will support the modelling of long-term supply/demand across the core Company’s markets, including Natural Gas, NGL, Condensate, Crude, and Refining.

Responsibilities
 

• Building and maintaining North America and Global supply and demand balance models and analysis.
• Developing of long-term market fundamental view and the assessment of price implication.
• Closely monitor government policies and understand potential impacts through data-driven scenario analysis.
• Generate memos and presentations to senior management consistent with market trends and outlooks.
• Support corporate teams with market research to support decision-making.

• Ability to work in fast paced environment where change is the nature of the business.
• Positive, enthusiastic, and detail-oriented with the ability to distil complex issues.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate and explore new ideas and approaches.
• Excellent data communication and storytelling skills including visual support.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Strong project management skills with a track record of managing analytics projects.

• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
• Post-secondary degree in a numeric field (Statistics, Finance, Economics/Econometrics, Computer Science, Geo-Physics, or Engineering).
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Can work independently and lead projects with minimal support and coaching.
• Strong project management skills with a track record of managing complex analytics projects.
• Mindset focused on creativity, innovation, and problem-solving in a constantly changing market environment.

• Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts, 40-hours/week.
