One of our clients, a major oil and gas company, has tasked us with finding a qualified candidate for a 12-month contract position as a Confirmations & Counterparty Management Analyst. This role is based in Calgary, AB, and is pivotal for managing commodity trade confirmations, counterparty setup, and system data maintenance across a range of commodities including crude oil, natural gas, and NGLs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the counterparty setup process and ensure system data accuracy.
- Conduct Know Your Customer (KYC) screenings and manage escalations.
- Coordinate with Vendor Services for electronic payment setup.
- Manage daily trade confirmations, ensuring compliance with commercial contracts.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external parties to facilitate smooth operations.
- Post-secondary education in business, finance, or legal studies.
- Experience in a commodity trading or marketing environment.
- Proficiency with ETRM platforms and systems and SAP software is considered an asset.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Previous experience in oil and gas is considered an asset.
