Required Qualifications:
- Legally authorized to work in the job posting country Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business
- 5 or more years of experience in refinery economics, finance, or procurement
- Ability to execute responsibilities independently (i.e., high degree of work ownership) Critical thinking and fact-based decision-making based on data
- Proficient ability with Microsoft Office tools (i.e., PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook)
- Strong written communications
- Act as liaison between the CER team, business economics resources at the site, and other refining central projects Manage alignment of project scope elements with business economic requirements
- Assist in prioritizing and scheduling projects for review
- Conduct various analyses of project improvement levers (business case, design, contracting/procurement, and construction/execution) to identify opportunities; this may require interviews and research with various sources across PSX
- Identify and action improvement opportunities that apply across the refining portfolio (e.g., optimizing specs & standards; changes to stage-gate process; etc.)
- Track and report value captured from CER
- Maintain the CER database and Opportunity Tracker
- Engineering and Construction acumen on capital investment practices Past project execution experience
- Excellent communication and negotiating skills
- Proficiency in written communications and presentations
- Field experience in construction-related activities
- Experience with the Project Approval Process and in preparing supporting documents
