Airswift is supporting our construction and engineering client based in Germany, to support one of their LNG projects, based in Stade, Lower Saxony.
Key Responsibilities and background:
- Comply with and advocate for HEH’s Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) and Sustainability Policies. Ensure safe execution of discipline works in accordance with the project-specific HSE program.
- Plan and prepare discipline work in close collaboration with the Area Construction Manager.
- Coordinate with other HEH Discipline Supervisors.
- Oversee and coordinate contractors' work to ensure construction activities meet project requirements.
- Conduct daily walk-downs to verify design compliance and inspect facilities and systems to ensure they meet the design, codes, standards, and licensor requirements.
- Assist the Project Control team with schedule and progress updates, and required reporting (daily, weekly, monthly).
- Support the implementation of the Site Quality Manual.
- Collect data to measure construction progress.
- Review certifications and progress reports from contractors.
- Mitigate potential claims by optimizing contractor coordination.
- Review, approve, and monitor EPC contractor claims and variation orders.
- Control the contractual scope of EPC contractors and subcontractors.
- Ensure contractors provide necessary information for as-built documentation.
- Manage discipline punch list progress daily.
- Facilitate the completion of discipline systems according to the schedule and be aware of the status of systems due for completion in the upcoming weeks.
- Participate in walk-downs for system punch listing.
- Notify the Turnover Manager when a system is ready for a punch walk-down.
- Work with the construction team, including contractors, to eliminate roadblocks to system completion.
Critical Skills & Personal Attributes:
- Extensive experience and knowledge in LNG projects, particularly in regasification plants, is essential.
- In-depth knowledge of CSA German regulations is required.
