Position Summary

Coordinates and conducts a variety of environmental, health and safety activities, including employee training and field-wide inspections. Promotes EHS management systems, procedures, and programs. Fosters a safety and environmentally focused company culture.



  • Perform field visits, training, project management and inspections, such as SPCC and LDAR.
  • Identify hazardous workplace conditions, remove hazards and/or protect employees by guarding, revising work procedures, and training or requiring use of protective clothing and personal protective equipment.
  • Take effective steps to ensure that workplace conditions comply with applicable federal and state occupational safety and health standard provisions, ensuring that all required records are prepared and maintained.
  • Investigate, prepare, and forward as required reports on injuries and incidents.
  • Assist EHS Department in permit compliance, including air permits.
  • Interface with regulatory agencies on permitting and compliance matters.
  • Support management of PSM facility.
  • Maintain Veriforce compliance.
  • Make recommendations after anticipating work/project requirements and consider business impact and risks.
  • Assist EHS department with risk management, incident investigations, and reporting.
  • Work closely with Operations personnel and promote a good working relationship.
  • Ability to work flexible hours during times of increased work activity.
  • Support on-call EHS efforts during off hours as needed.
  • Maintain employee confidence and protect company assets, including intellectual property, by keeping information confidential.
  • Acquire and maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications.
  • Interface with contractors on company safety and environmental policies and expectations.




· Five (5+) years minimum Environmental, Health & Safety O&G experience.

· Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year university or college required. Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Sciences, Chemistry, Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering is preferred.

· CPEA, CEM, or REM preferred

· Ability to accurately solve problems and exceptional proficiency in data management.

· Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other departments, officials, and the public.

· Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills with specific ability to translate complex information into an organized and presentable manner.

· Outstanding administrative and organizational skills.

· Proficiency in the use and application of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook).

· Basic Understanding of the Federal, State and Local OSHA & DOT rules and regulations

· Preferred experience with regulations in Texas and Louisiana.

· Valid Driver’s license required.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to individually lift: Maximum 100 lbs.
  • Potential exposure to noise levels requiring the use of hearing protection
  • Some work may be performed in outside weather conditions, including rain and extreme cold and heat, near moving mechanical parts; exposure to high wind, ice, snow, wet and/or humid conditions, vibration, and dust is expected.
