We are seeking an experienced E&I Inspector to join our client's LNG facilities in Corpus Christi, TX for a 1-year contract, likely to extend.
Role Overview
The E&I Inspector will be responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of electrical and instrumentation installations on-site. Key responsibilities include:
- Performing inspections on materials, equipment, and construction installation activities to ensure adherence to project specifications and standards.
- Inspecting electrical installations, including switchgear, motor control centers, and electrical drives, with a focus on quality and compliance.
- Verifying compliance with NFPA 70 (NEC) and NFPA 70E standards.
- Overseeing the proper installation of instrumentation systems such as tubing, control instruments, and control valves.
- Ensuring classified hazard area installations meet all safety and regulatory requirements.
- Reading and interpreting electrical drawings, one-line diagrams, and schematics.
- Promoting and adhering to safety standards on-site and being an advocate for safe working practices.
- Managing multiple tasks effectively while working under pressure.
Requirements
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
- 10 years of experience in E&I inspections.
- LNG experience preferred.
- Certifications in relevant areas such as NFPA 70 NEC code and NFPA 70E standards advantageous.
- Experience with classified hazard areas installation is a plus.
