If you don’t have Underground experience but worked as a Heavy Duty Mechanic, that's okay! Experience working with Atlas Mining and/or Sandvik Mining and Rock Technology equipment and a Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic certification are the two main requirements. The successful candidates will be responsible for repairing heavy mining equipment in a safe, environmentally friendly, and cost-effective manner to ensure equipment availability is maximized.

Responsibilities
- Perform cost-effective, safe, and environmentally friendly repairs to maximize equipment availability.
- The incumbent will be working on but not limited to Epiroc MT6020 haul trucks, Boltecs, Simbas, Jumbos, autonomous ST14 scoop trams, ST1530, ST18 scoop trams, Normet shotcrete sprayers, transmixers, etc.
- The mine is primarily Epiroc equipment.
- Fill out the work orders and reports on repairs and diagnoses prior to the end of each shift.
- Provide sufficient detail about repairs so that others can understand what work has been done on the equipment.
- Keep work areas clean and free of safety hazards continuously.
- Conduct safety audits as per company policy.
- Provide written reports to the Mobile Maintenance Supervisor as requested.
- Adhere to safety and environmental rules and contribute to safety and productivity by constructively participating in safety meetings and incident investigations.
- Conduct equipment reviews to ensure new and existing equipment meets site safety and operational requirements.
- Assist other tradespersons to achieve Maintenance goals as required.
- Help develop Heavy Duty Mechanic apprentices including delegating tasks or projects that will assist with their skill development and meet apprenticeship requirements.
- Journeyperson certification as a Heavy Duty Mechanic.
- Interprovincial Red Seal certification.
- Understanding of the NWT Mines Act.
- Familiarity with new technologies and equipment (e.g., Cat SIS, Cummins Insight, etc.).
- Ability to maintain and repair industrial equipment.
- Proven oral, written, and active listening skills and ability to work in high-stress situations and resolve issues.
- 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off (first week: dayshift, second week: nightshift).
- Current St. John’s Ambulance Standard First Aid Certificate with CPR.
- Training on the Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS).

The company are looking to invest in a new Quality Manager for their South Carolina manufacturing plant to alleviate the current interim Quality Manager, who is also completing a dual role within micro-biological testing and global quality. The Quality Manager will be a leader across the quality function with the ability to modify difficult quality standards and processes within the plant. The role will be key in promoting quality and driving ownership across the entire facility.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manages the work of quality control and quality assurance staff within a plant to ensure full compliance to all Quality related policies, procedures and practices; whilst ensuring that safety protocols are equally upheld
- Promotes a strong safety and quality culture where both safety and quality are core values of everyone at the company
- Develops, implements and evaluates quality policies, procedures, and projects and develops resources to assist the operations and manufacturing function to be able to reach quality standards
- Responsible for processes related to production quality and ISO implementation at local level
- Responsible for ensuring that products meet customers' quality standards
- Defines the appropriate and adequate procedures and measures of control for production processes and conducts risk assessments of these processes
- Leads implementation of new regulations, all audits and regulatory inspections and facilitates gaps closings from these
- Coordinates quality training for employees to ensure all individuals have the required level of knowledge
Required Experience
- At least 10 years’ work experience in a continuous manufacturing environment
- Prior experience promoting quality across a facility, addressing issues and performing spot checks
- Prior experience as a visible functional manager, with ability to lead a team, take data and make decisions
- Ability to communicate with customers
- Proactive and hands-on mindset
- Coach who can drive ownership across the entire facility
- Strong communication skills with ability to collaborate across other department and teams, including supply chain, materials, and production
- At least holding Green Belt Six Sigma
