Airswift has been tasked by one of our major chemical clients to seek an Electrical Engineer to work within their facilities located in Deer Park, TX for a long-term contract.
Within this position you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems and work to complete projects within budget and scheduling restraints. They collaborate with other engineering departments and coordinating their specialized contributions to the development of a project.
Day to day responsibilities:
- Lead the electrical engineering design effort on projects
- Work with engineering teams to develop electrical systems on projects
- Estimate cost, personnel and material needs for preparing proposals and establishes completion dates for projects
- Oversee and review electrical specifications and designs:
- Oversee and review design of drawings using Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) software
- Determine project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards
- Create the instructions necessary for systems to function
- Guide project installation and commissioning on final load testing
- Analyze test results of electrical installations and equipment
Previous education and experience required:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field
- 10+ years of project experience working in the Petrochemical industry required
- Excellent knowledge of design and visualizations using CAD and CAE software
- Project management and supervision skills
- Proficient with MS Office Suite of tools, exposure to schedule software, preferably Primavera (P6)
- Ability to travel up to 80% of the time
