Role Overview
  • Support the Engineering Project Manager (EPM) in defining and developing discipline scope by understanding and evaluating project requirements.
  • Ensure the project team is aware of project requirements and specifications, delivering designs that meet project needs, corporate standards, and industry regulations.
  • Collaborate with EPM and Discipline Leads to prepare the engineering schedule and manpower planning, ensuring alignment with overall project milestones.
  • Develop the scope of work for subcontractors and ensure effective interface management.
  • Assist in resolving discipline issues between relevant Discipline Leads and stakeholders in Construction, Procurement, and Project Controls.
  • Establish and maintain close working relationships with EPM, Project Management Team, Operations, Procurement, Construction, and Clients.
  • Monitor all interfaces with Class Society/other regulatory bodies to ensure timely review of requirements.
  • Assist in preparing project close-out documentation including as-built documentation and engineering close-out reports.
  • Track and coordinate changes with Discipline Leads, ensuring adherence to the management of change process.
  • Proactively identify areas likely to change to minimize added costs and delays.
  • Ensure engineering deliverables meet required quality and safety standards through regular reviews and checks.
 
Skills & Qualifications
  • Project Engineering: Strong understanding of project requirements and specifications.
  • Design Engineering: Ability to deliver designs that meet corporate standards and industry regulations.
  • Schedule Management: Proficient in preparing engineering schedules and manpower planning.
  • Interface Management: Experience in managing interfaces with subcontractors and regulatory bodies.
  • Change Management: Skilled in tracking changes and coordinating with various stakeholders.
  • Quality Assurance: Knowledge of quality control processes to ensure deliverables meet safety standards.
 
Education & Experience
  • Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Certifications: Relevant engineering certifications are a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in project engineering or related roles.
