Our client seeks an Environmental Engineer / advisor. This role is a Perth based role, tho there will be frequent site visits
About The Role:
You’ll be working on an exciting mine closure project well known within WA. Working with a key iron ore client, you will be a pivotal part of the project team integrating with both the EPCM and owners’ team. This role will be Perth based, with frequent site travel involved. Your day to day will include:
- Support the site project team by providing information and guidance on environmental aspects
- Ensure that environmental aspects are identified, risks assessed and control measures planned and implemented
- Management of seed inventory and reporting
- Assisting with the development, implementation and overseeing of progressive land rehabilitation programs
- Scope and award environmental packages of work including monitoring and maintenance works
- Conduct inspections and audits of site facilities, processes and contractors
- Degree in Environmental Science, Management or Environmental Engineering
- 5+ years experience in a similar position - Engineering or Advisory
- A good understanding of WA environmental legislation and regulations
- Experienced with revegetation/rehabilitation, some knowledge of water management is advantageous
- High level skills in applying detailed analysis and interpretation to identify practical solutions to environmental challenges
- Willingness and ability to attend site frequently
