- Complete cost estimates of raw materials and subcontracted work and labor.
- Create cost models for estimating elements.
- Prepare and maintain historical data.
- Prepare estimation reports and present findings to the team.
- Responsible to help prioritize workload for the estimating team to meet deliverable dates.
- Analyze specifications, including sketches, drawings, bills of material, and sample layouts, and calculate costs using labor and material pricing schedules and historical data.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of estimating experience.
- Organized and detail oriented.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Exceptional numerical and analytical skills
- Experience at working both independently and in a collaborative team-oriented environment is essential.
- Analytical/problem-solving capabilities.
- Conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Promptly and efficiently react to project changes, remaining flexible to change.
- Adept at researching and resolving project-related issues.
- Proficient using MS Excel and MS Word.
- Demonstrated knowledge of estimating tools.
- Experience with InEight estimating software.
