Our client is seeking a Fabrication Supervisor to work within their facilities located in Albany, NY for an initial 1-year assignment.
Job Responsibilities:

Represent the company during the design, fabrication, and commissioning of the electrical systems on the offshore foundations components, including but not limited to LV systems, MV/HV systems, Earthing system, Array Cables, Measurements and SCADA/Radio systems. Guide and inspect all onshore sub-contractors, to ensure successful fabrication and assembly of the offshore foundation’s components on time and within the required Quality standards and HSE regulations.
Ensures that free-issued equipment and components are stored, handled, and maintained in accordance with the project and vendor requirements.
Manage commissioning/testing of the offshore foundation’s components.
Advice and support to the Foundation Fabrication Manager and Commissioning Manager.
Ensure that contractors/sub-contractors work, are in line with agreed design and to required spec/quality.
Keep and maintain a safe work environment within the team and the contractors/sub-contractors on site according to HSE guidelines and local procedures.
Support of all relevant interfaces between Contractors, Sub-Contractors, Contractors QA/QC Representatives, Designated Authorities.
The Electrical Supervisor will report to the Electrical Engineer, WTG- and Foundation Fabrication Manager and Offshore Commissioning Manager.
Stay informed of the HSE system and the procedures relevant to the function as well as to work in accordance with the requirements defined therein.
Obliged to react on observed nonconformities to the written procedures and to contribute to the improvement of the system.
Stay informed of the QA system and the procedures relevant to the function as well as to work according to requirements defined therein.

Qualifications:

Technical education relevant for the subject matter or bachelor’s in electrical engineering
All relevant safety trainings needed to perform the job.
Min. 10 years of site experience on fabrication yards, pre-assembly, or construction sites
Min. 5 year of experience from similar position

-Managing stakeholders and client expectations, targets and timelines

Qualifications:

- 5 or more years experience in Electrical Installations and solar panels

-Fluent in French and Dutch

- Project Management Experience is required

The role

As the Lead Electrical Engineer at our client, you are responsible for all electrical aspects of international projects. Together with the project manager, you "carry" the projects. This ranges from high and/or low-voltage distribution systems, (emergency) generators, short-circuit, load flow, and selectivity calculations carried out with ETAP, cabling, design of battery installations, hybrid energy solutions, ENMCS, interfaces to PCS systems. You do this in various project phases such as define, FEED, detail, and execution. Additionally, you provide support throughout the entire project execution. As the Lead Electrical Engineer, you are responsible for creating technical specifications, developing electrical drawings, creating and reviewing related calculations, producing design specifications, conducting interim and final inspections at our suppliers, and providing support for our sales department.

Responsibilities

Oversee all electrical aspects of international projects, collaborating with project managers.
Manage design and calculations for distribution systems, generators, and hybrid energy solutions.
Develop technical specifications, electrical drawings, and design documentation.
Conduct inspections, both interim and final, at supplier sites.
Contribute to multidisciplinary project teams, coordinating with managers and engineers.
Optimize design processes, ensure compliance with regulations, and support project progress through travel and meetings.

Requirements

Completed technical HBO/WO education, in the field of Electrical Engineering;
Experience in a similar role in an international technical project environment;
NEN3140 certification;
VCA VP;
STIPEL Installation/Work Supervisor;
Proficiency in English;
You have good social and communication skills;
You possess leadership qualities;
You have good planning skills;
You can lead multiple projects;
You are cost-conscious.

The Challenge
Do you have the ability to provide technical direction to a project and maintain a complete technical overview from start to finish?
As the Lead Engineer at our client, you will be the central figure in the project from beginning to end. You will create the system design yourself and maintain direct contact with the customer. You possess the capacity to approach problems analytically and through modeling. You will establish specifications for major procurement components and guide the multidisciplinary detailed design. You will be technically accountable for contract execution. You will supervise engineers in the power electronics and electronics control disciplines.
