Responsibilities:
- Install mechanical and electrical equipment following company EH&S guidelines, including the removal or modification of existing customer equipment for new installations.
- Assess and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and electronic issues using diagnostic and testing equipment. Analyse problems, determine solutions, and execute necessary repairs.
- Perform functional checks and commissioning of equipment in line with company procedures, providing timely and accurate reports on all site activities.
- Supervise subcontractors by coordinating, inspecting, and validating their work to ensure timely completion within project budgets.
- Represent the Field Service function in pre-job planning, engineering review meetings, and installation readiness reviews. Document red line drawing changes and submit parts requests. Offer technical guidance in developing work procedures and process plans.
- Minimum an Engineering Degree in a related field such as Aeronautics, Aerospace, Mechatronics, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years of field engineering experience within the heavy machinery or test instruments field industry.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 60% of the time.
- Fluent in English and effective communicator who can interact with clients and subcontractors across all levels.
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, with the ability to interpret engineering drawings and testing procedures; hands-on experience troubleshooting mechanical and electrical control systems.
- Knowledge of PLC code and ability to implement changes with engineering support.
