Airswift are currently recruiting for a Financial Controller to work for a Global leader in energy transmission and distribution solutions.

In this role, you will be part of the financial team supporting projects that specialize in the execution of turn-key and supply-only contracts for subsea and land cable manufacturing and installation around the globe.

Please see below a summary of responsibilities:

Prepare financial closings and reports in collaboration with Project Controllers and the Financial Data Analyst.
Interpret reports and makes recommendations to senior management also reporting the

deviations analysis’ towards forecasts and budgets.

Participate to the yearly budget preparation and maintains the Year End Outlook view.

Requirements:

Bachelor/Master degree in relevant financial field
10 years working experience, ideally for an EPC contractor or in a turn-key project environment
Advanced Excel skills and experience working with SAP
good knowledge of IFRS accounting principles
Fluent in English

Business Purpose of the Role:
The purpose of the role is to carry out the work necessary to O&M the wind turbines and ensure correct operation.

Job Responsibilities

Diagnosis and troubleshooting mechanical or electrical incidents
Interpretation of electrical and mechanical drawings and technical documentation
Execute tasks overhaul, repair, preventive and corrective maintenance, unemployment and commissioning of the wind turbines in accordance with the working procedures as manuals and procedures of the machine.
Control of tools and equipment assigned.
Management of spare parts and consumables.
Location and correction of faults and malfunctions.
Report incidents and improvements.
Alarm Information uncontrolled.
Reporting

Job Qualifications

Education and/or Experience: Studies electricity, intermediate or engineering studies.
At least 1 year of work experience in commissioning or maintenance of specialized TROUBLE SHOOTING, O&M Procedures and schemes understanding.
Product Knowledge: Different kinds of wind turbines (Gamesa, Acciona, GE, Alstom….)
Language : French and English are required ; Spanish is a plus

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Computer Skills: Good working knowledge of Microsoft products and PLCS
Work Environment: Ability to work at height and in confined spaces. Working regularly in outdoor weather conditions
Safety Focus - Performs work in a safe manner at all times and observes safety and security procedures; avoids shortcuts that increase health and safety risks to self or others; reports potentially unsafe conditions and potential hazards; encourages and supports others to be safe while at work.

The business has recently formed a JV with and received significant investments from a major firm within the sector, and is partnering with majors within the Oil & Gas and Power Generation industries, developing both technology and transformative and integrated solutions for the commercialization of sustainable, infrastructure-scale technologies that include clean hydrogen and ammonia, zero-emissions power cycles, direct air capture, retrofit carbon capture, sour gas sweetening, clean ethylene, and other advanced clean energy systems

The business is seeking a Rotating Equipment Subject Matter Expert to help develop its zero-emissions technology portfolio, from conception to launch. This will be a direct hire position within the groups central engineering team. The unique role involves an expertise in mechanical principles relating to the design, evaluation, and selection of turbines, pumps, turboexpanders, compressors, and other similar equipment. The successful candidate will be tasked with leading internal mechanical design aspects of novel technology development and commercial project execution while working in a fast-paced, innovative, and creative environment.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary resource for rotating equipment across a variety of processes
Support technology development and equipment design maturation for novel processes, from concept to commercialization.
Optimize technical, safety, and economic performance of processes through selection and design of ideal rotating equipment.
Develop specifications for existing and first-of-a-kind equipment packages.
Identify and manage equipment vendors for rotating equipment.
Generate mechanical specifications and designs of rotating equipment.
Design and provide economic analyses of rotating equipment based on process requirements.
Implement applicable codes and standards in equipment design for industrial applications.
Perform safety-related calculations and provide input to HAZID/ENVID, HAZOP, SIL, and other safety reviews as directed.
Plan, coordinate, and manage day-to-day activities associated with the delivery of engineering services to meet the scope requirements of the projects or services.
Executes routine and detailed engineering calculations using first principles in support of the technical solutions proposed.
Collaborate with external partners and vendors to develop and execute equipment selection plans
Participate in the development, revision, and review of engineering documentation such as equipment data sheets, equipment lists, critical equipment RFPs, and manufacturing packages.

Required Experience

Minimum Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering Preferred).
Professional Engineering license preferred.
Minimum 25 years of experience in mechanical design, specification, selection, installation, commissioning, operation and maintenance of rotating equipment.
Extensive knowledge of pumps, compressors, turbines, turbomachinery and associated power trains.
Experience with high pressure and supercritical fluid applications of rotating equipment.
Detailed knowledge of rotating equipment suppliers, as well as metallurgy, fabrication techniques and modularization.
Experience with gas processing and industrial gases including but not limited to H2, H2S, O2 and CO2.
Experience with thermochemical and cryogenic processes.
A clear understanding of the commercial implications of engineering solutions proposed and how they affect the project economics and risk profile.
Experience conducting fabrication surveillance.
Knowledge and experience with interpreting and applying international codes and standards for design and analysis of rotatory equipment such as API 610, ASME B73, API 674, API 676, API 672, API 618, API 619 among others.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills including negotiation and conflict resolution.
Excellent client-facing skills and the ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
Willingness to mentor team members.
Strong organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking across various projects.
A demonstrable understanding of the lifecycle of a project from R&D concept through to construction and the various phases of development to commercial operation.

Job summary:

The team’s task is to engage in the preservation of the Plant, minimizing costs and delivering an engineering and maintenance strategy that supports the long-term commercial operation of the Plant.
Asset Engineer are mainly responsible for delivering compliance against legislative, statutory, corporate and site policy and procedures.
Will also deal with providing engineering expertise and ownership for contract management and the delivery of assigned budgets.

Requirements:

Must have relevant Engineering qualifications minimum HND, and / or equivalent experience.
Recognized HSE qualification.
Must have served a recognized apprenticeship and be qualified to a minimum level of NVQ level 3 (or equivalent).
Significant experience in a plant area of the power station and would be classed as a subject matter expert in their field of competence.
Previous experience of working in a technical role in either mechanical, electrical or control and instrumentation discipline.
Detailed knowledge of managing contractors and have the skills and have the ability to lead a team.
Experience of managing multiple budgets for OPEX and CAPEX.
Experience of managing multiple contracts as a contract owner.
Be able to responds and adapt to change with a positive attitude.
Strong team and relationship building skills.
Able to work in an environment of continuous improvement, looking to identify causes of poor reliability, prioritizing and progressing the solutions.
Knowledgeable and competent in the use of IT systems (Excel, Word, Maximo WMS).
Fluent English: both written and oral.

Responsibilities:

Subject matter expert with plant area responsibility and ownership.
Initiate contracts and contract awards.
Initiate and deliver major and minor projects in line with the plant area business plan.
Ensure engineering contribution to the cross functional maintenance reliability groups.
Work collaboratively and cross functionally across all maintenance functions.
Work management ownership for the respective plant area.
Lead and manage a team.
