Technical Officer (Public Lighting) – Brisbane, QLD

The purpose of the role is to be responsible for managing our client’s lights in parks and bikeways. This includes regular inspections, management of maintenance program, investigate requests from public, ensure lighting compliance to AS/NZS 1158, conduct lighting audits, resolving lighting faults and implement appropriate lighting solutions. Note repairs, installations and identifying faults is not the responsibility of this role.
Please note, this role will require working one night per week for up to four hours from sunset.
Key Accountabilities
- Complete all work to Company client procedures, policy and standards and ensuring review of these to maintain effectiveness and efficiency.
- Provide technical advice and lighting audits for compliance with P Category lighting installation as per AS/NZS 1158.
- Knowledge of AS/NZS 1158 Lighting for roads and public spaces pedestrian area (Category P) lighting - Performance and design requirements and AS/NZS 4282 – Control of the obtrusive effects of outdoor lighting.
- Investigate and resolve requests for public lighting improvement by carrying out site inspections, participating in community consultation, determining required action and advising customers of intended action.
- Accurately input data and maintain City Lighting Asset registers and carrying out audits of database records and where necessary, take appropriate actions to resolve inaccuracy in the database.
- Attend and participate in meetings with internal and external stakeholders and report on progress and issues as required.
- Work in partnership with your team leader to agreed performance standards and mutual expectations.
- Give and receive regular feedback to enable performance to be improved and take personal responsibility for optimising your potential within the organisation.
Essential
- Extensive skills and knowledge of the principles and practices of public lighting as contained in the AS/NZS 1158 (P Category)
- Extensive skills and knowledge of the principles of obtrusive light as contained in AS/NZS 4282.
- Proven ability to inspect and assess lighting requests and implement appropriate compliant public lighting solutions.
- Experience in carrying out lighting audits for compliance with Australian Standards.
- Knowledge of and experience with lighting software.
- Strongly developed verbal and written communication and negotiation skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with, and influence groups and individuals at all levels in the organisation including external customers and stakeholders.
- Ability to coordinate, plan and efficiently implement public lighting maintenance work programs with limited supervision in a team environment.
- Ability to contribute to team direction, give and receive feedback and achieve agreed performance standards to contribute to a culture of performance excellence.
- Demonstrated organisational and time management skills with a proven ability to manage competing priorities to meet tight deadlines and deliver quality service standards.
Desirable

Job Responsibilities
- Managing the mechanical team in delivering timely design reviews, answering client mechanical queries and providing technical guidance to all project stakeholders where required.
- Develops critical infrastructure/data center designs to ensure concurrent maintainability of HVAC systems in line with project requirements.
- Provides on-site leadership for mechanical project team by providing guidance on design, installation, commissioning, and handover of projects.
- Design Mechanical Systems and prepare Calculations and Schematic Drawings for MEP Disciplines in Data Center.
- Prepare Specifications, BOQ and all related Documentations.
- Plan and set out data center critical infrastructures / systems from concept leading to the detailed design stage.
- Support the business across its full professional services including design, consultancy, site supervision, testing & commissioning and auditing.

Our client is seeking a Cyber Security Specialist to work within their facilities in Perth WA.
The Company
A major resource consultancy who has a portfolio of resources projects in Australia. With a number of projects currently underway, our client is looking for a qualified Cyber Security Specialist to join the team.
The Role
This role will be working with a number of projects for energy and infrastructure industry.
This will be a 12-month contract position and will be based in Brisbane QLD.
Responsibilities:
- Educate clients on the cyber security risks that their systems are vulnerable to and how utilising a CSMS will reduce their risk exposure.
- Assist in expanding current OT cyber security portfolio.
- Work with existing clients to asses existing systems/installations/sites against the IEC62443 Security Level (SL) rating to calculate SL Achieved (SL-As).
- Work with existing clients to set SL Targets (SL-Ts) that match their risk appetite.
- Develop cyber security programme of works to align SL-As to SL-Ts.
Create OT cyber security preliminary and detail OT cyber security analysis reports. - Work with automation, systems and communications teams to ensure that new systems cyber security vulnerabilities are mitigated/reduced by applying the IEC62443 Cyber Security Management System (CSMS).
- Provide input to bids teams to include methodology, cost and schedule for cyber security works required.
- Develop OT cyber security policies and procedures for clients.
- Develop and present general and focused OT Cyber Security Education program
Requirements:
- Computer science, Electrical or Electronic Engineering degree or equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience with ICS/OT cyber security, industrial control system design, and industrial networks.
- Formal qualifications in IEC62443 plus any additional industry frameworks such as RISSB (Rail), AESCSF (Energy).
- Working knowledge of one or more of the following: ISO 27001, NIST SP 800-82.
- Demonstrated understanding of risk-based security processes..
- Demonstrated knowledge of applicable legislative, regulatory and technical standards.
- Experience designing, maintaining and supporting cyber security management systems.
- Ability to analyse and suggest recommended improvements to the industrial control system configurations, applications, systems and networks to meet security-level requirements.
- Ability to create and implement cyber security programmes with short, intermediate and extended outcomes focusing on client value in regards to vulnerability mitigation, cost and schedule constraints.
- Experience in deploying security programs within 24/7 operations.
Demonstrate industrial control systems and protocols experiences, both hands-on and from a design perspective. - Have the ability to organise and facilitate security risk assessment workshops as well as develop pre and post-workshop documentation.
- Demonstrate experience with security controls and technologies such as zone and conduit models, antivirus software, firewalls, configuration and patch management, DMZ, SIEMs, UAC, intrusion detection systems, centralised alert logging and monitoring etc.
