Airswift is seeking a Flowback Operator to work in Midland TX (Permian Basin area) for a 12-month assignment (subject to extension).
Main Functions:
Operate equipment and wells by applying operating and safety procedures and guidelines to meet daily operational plans, reduce equipment failure, and efficiently manage resources.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Implement daily work objectives, including housekeeping, safety, health, environmental, and security tasks.
- Actively participate in daily toolbox meetings and regular, documented safety meetings.
- Identify and implement corrective and optimization actions through continuous surveillance of wells and equipment to ensure reliable, efficient, and safe operational conditions.
- Function as an Equipment Care Technician and perform simple maintenance activities.
- Report if the alarm, emergency, or emergency shutdown system is out of service.
- Provide detailed, clear, and accurate information during shift changes to ensure unit conditions are updated and operational continuity is maintained.
- Coordinate, control, and monitor maintenance jobs according to corrective, predictive, and preventive plans.
- Continuously document relevant operational events and abnormal situations in the logbook.
- Take samples of products for laboratory analysis and perform field laboratory tests.
- Actively participate in emergency response activities.
- Report incidents internally and escalate awareness as per the Incident Reporting Guidelines.
- Inform and consult the Operations Shift Supervisor about operational activities.
- Maintain good communication across the team to ensure issues and actions are adequately addressed.
- Provide basic facts concerning well production problems, current production rates, and the condition of the well.
- Ensure thorough well problem diagnostics before requesting Well Work intervention operations.
- Ensure the wellhead and surface equipment are maintained and in good working order prior to Well Work operations.
- Provide assistance and support to ongoing Well Work operations as needed.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Completed secondary education with previous experience as a Field Technician.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- High standards in Safety, Health, and Environmental aptitude, with a focus on cultivating the same in others.
- Understanding of pipeline operations.
- Knowledge of safety and operations management tools and processes.
- Familiarity with Emergency Preparedness Procedures.
- Understanding of Project Philosophy and Design Specifications.
- Awareness of relevant regulations and commercial agreements.
