Airswift we are currently sourcing for a HSE Specialist Lead  FIFO positions 

 

 Description:

  • Position: HSE Specialist
  • Duration: 12 months
  • Roster: 2x2 FIFO


Location: Individual will be required to work on  site The individual will be feeling in for leave cover throughout the year.
Roster: 2x2 with longer swings required where need arises. Please note individual will have some time in the Perth Office.

- Individual will also need to hold a valid TBOSIET and MSIC for the duration of their initial engagement or be willing to get them at their own cost.

Exciting opportunity for an experienced Health and Safety (HSE) Specialist to join the ABU HSE team. The role will report to the workforce H&S Manager, although day to day instruction and supervision will be through the BWI and WHS HSE Managers and teams. This role will be predominantly on equal time roster, for most of the time being site or field based, with interim period so of Perth based activities as required. The role will evolve with work scopes and is currently anticipated to be 50% site to site  based and will work as assigned.

Key responsibilities include:
- Providing leave cover for site Health & Safety or Health & Safety/Emergency Management roles
- Working closely with  IOC roles, in supporting  site HSE activities
- Supporting ABU turnaround, maintenance, or dangerous goods HSE activities as required
- Executing site HSE audits, inspections or field safeguard assurance activities as assigned.
- Working closely with the Process Safety, HSE Planning & Performance, Safety Services and Produce Environment teams as required.
- Working across the updated OE Management System with a focus on serious incident prevention efforts and Human and Organisational Performance
- Leading and/or supporting asset and functional HSE projects from time to time
- Supporting incident investigation, including participating in or facilitating approved Incident investigation methodologies (e.g. 5-Whys, SAFE, Y-tree and Learning Teams) as required
- Supporting HAZIDs, including participating in or facilitating as appropriate

Experience/Qualifications:
Top 3 Must have skills:
• Qualifications in Health & Safety or Emergency Management
• 5 to 10+ years’ experience in health & safety, ideally with at least 3 years site based in the oil and gas / liquefied natural gas industry
• Required to be ‘site active’ with frequent site assignments to execute work scopes.
Nice to have skills:
•Demonstrated ability to provide sound technical and risk-based advice on safety and health risks
•Demonstrated ability to identify and build key relationships which contribute to business results
•Demonstrated commitment to values of diversity and inclusion, high performance, integrity and trust, partnership and protecting people and the environment
