We are currently recruiting for a ICSS Engineer to be placed in Schiedam and would be on a 12-month contract with the possibility of extension. The main focus is to have a strong background in advanced ICSS systems within the oil and gas industry and will be responsible for various phases of project development, from proposal and concept through to basic and detailed engineering.
Responsibilities
Proposal / Concept / FEED Phase:
- Review client requirements to ensure project alignment.
- Participate in the selection of appropriate ICSS systems.
- Prepare system architecture and I/O estimates.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory regimes, classification requirements, standards, and client requirements.
- Consider cost, constructability, operability, and maintainability in all designs.
- Develop project-specific system designs and associated documentation.
- Prepare Hierarchical Shutdown Levels Diagrams, Cause & Effect Diagrams, Control & Safeguarding Philosophy, F&G Philosophy, and F&G layouts.
- Participate in safety reviews and studies, including HAZOP, SIL assessment, and verification.
- Prepare ICSS RFQs, review vendor quotations, and conclude vendor selection.
- Act as package engineer, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery.
- Ensure proper integration and interfacing of package units to the ICSS.
- Conduct ICSS inspections and tests, including Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT).
- Maintain adherence to regulatory regimes, classification requirements, standards, and client specifications.
Skills / Qualifications
- MSC or BSC degree (TU/HTS) in a relevant engineering discipline.
- At least 8 years of experience in advanced ICSS systems within the oil and gas industry.
- Knowledge of international offshore codes and standards is preferred.
- Experience with ICSS systems in the offshore oil & gas industry is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
