Our client is seeking a Infrastructure Security Specialist to work within their end-user facilities in Perth WA.


The Company

A major service provider who has a portfolio of numerous projects in Australia. With a number of projects currently underway, our client is looking for a qualified Infrastructure Security Specialist to join the team.


The Role

Our client is looking for a Infrastructure Security Specialist where you will be responsible for providing high quality IT services for the end-user.

This position will  based in Perth WA.


The Individual

From a technical perspective you will be expected to:

  • Design and implement security measures to protect our organization's infrastructure and data from security threats, including but not limited to firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, data encryption systems, and other security technologies.
  • Monitor and analyze network traffic and security logs to detect potential security incidents and respond to security breaches and incidents.
  • Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential security weaknesses and recommend appropriate remediation.
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure the availability of critical systems in the event of an outage or other disruption.
  • Work closely with IT and security teams to ensure that security measures are integrated into the overall infrastructure design and architecture.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, threats, and technologies to identify opportunities to enhance our organization's security posture.
  • Conduct security awareness training for employees to promote best practices and ensure compliance with security policies and procedures.


Required and Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in infrastructure security, with a focus on implementing and managing security systems and protocols.
  • Strong knowledge of security technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, data encryption systems, and other security technologies.
  • Experience with vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and incident response.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex security issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA are a plus.
