Join our dynamic team as an Instrument and Electrical Technician II in Midland, Texas, where you will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing electrical and instrumentation systems within the oil and gas industry.

Role Overview

  • Plan, update, and oversee activities in compliance with laws, regulations, and procedures, emphasizing health, safety, and the environment.
  • Encourage teamwork between operations, engineering, and project groups.
  • Review control specifications and work practices.
  • Manage electrical and control systems as per the Work Management Manual.
  • Apply and follow work permits through the Permit To Work System (PTWS).
  • Ensure timely completion of maintenance work as scheduled.
  • Develop personal and team technical skills on new regulations and equipment.
  • Conduct technical meetings to inform technicians of latest specifications and technology.
  • Maintain open communication on electrical and control issues with co-workers.
  • Support work prioritization to enhance effectiveness across work groups.
  • Provide technical support for maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical systems.
  • Generate Management of Change requests (MOCs) for electrical equipment installations.
  • Inspect new installations for consistency with mission objectives and recommend upgrades.
  • Act as a stand-in for the Instrument and Electrical Lead as needed.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Electrical calculations proficiency.
  • Mechanical troubleshooting expertise.
  • Familiarity with regulations applicable to oil and gas operations.
  • Knowledge of OIMS systems, manuals, and procedures.
  • Safety-oriented mindset with strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration.
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical abilities.
  • Computing skills relevant to the position.

Education & Experience

  • Associates degree, preferably enhanced by related technical school courses.
  • Experience in maintaining electrical systems and instrumentation in processing or offshore production plants.
