The position is for Industrial Control System Security Advisor. The role will support 3 assets with ananalysis of current practices relative to the company’s requirements and developing plans to close any identified gaps.
Responsibilities:
- First 6 months on assignment will be identifying gaps while the next 6-12 months will be for closing those gaps.
- Provides subject matter expertise to maintenance teams.
- Subject matter expert for specific processes and procedures, technical matters, and equipment.
- Equipment types may include instrumentation, control systems, analyzers, ("I&C").
- Demonstrates very strong maintenance skills for these equipment types.
- Able to provide support or guidance for complex troubleshooting, may participate in constructability and maintenance design reviews and may assist engineering for routine maintenance as well as Turnaround, or new project support.
- Assisting the contractors with clarification, interpretation, interference resolution and QA/QC related matters.
- Confirming equipment and materials arriving at site meet the engineering specifications and quantities
- Ensuring instructions, drawings and specifications for scope changes are issued in a timely manner.
- Ensuring that Health, Safety and Environment Programs are implemented and adhered to at all times
- Updating the site-wide deficiency lists to be issued at weekly construction meetings
- Participating in the turnover process by assembling completion checklists and other engineering and construction records
- Travel: some travel required every approx. every 3 months to either La Barge, WY or Gulf of Mexico locations.
Requirements:
- Ideal background is as an Instrumentation & Controls Coordinator or Instrumentation and Electrical Technician but requires relevant experience in industrial control cyber security.
- Experience supporting Oil & Gas, Refining, or Chemicals operations.
- Experience with Process Control System (PCS), Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS), and Emergency Shutdown System (ESD) in one or more of these industries.
- Experience with DCS / PLC.
- Implementation of IT / cybersecurity requirements for PCS, SIS, ESD systems.
- Experience with best practices around implementation of network control points (i.e., firewalls) to segregate systems.
- Experience with network penetration testing.
