We are seeking an IT Business Analyst (ITBA) who will be responsible for improving the quality of IT products and services, analyzing data to inform business decisions, and finding technological solutions to meet business needs. The ITBA will work with various business lines to document and score functional business requirements and technical business requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Partnering:
- Collaborate with stakeholders across different organizational boundaries to achieve business goals.
- Ensure that business-specific roadmaps and plans are aligned with business plans and are regularly updated with business stakeholders.
- Manage the process of demand intake, funding, and expectation of business stakeholders, and alignment to IT and other service stakeholders.
- Provide input into business planning, LRP, and department budget processes.
Business Analysis:
- Ensure stakeholder management throughout the business analysis process.
- Elicit and document requirements of business and technical stakeholders.
- Manage the requirements lifecycle, test cases, and assist with UAT where appropriate.
- Accountable for business process modeling and redesign.
- Responsible for providing input into solution evaluation and selection.
- Accountable for producing documentation.
Project Management:
- Manage low-rigor/minor projects in-line with company standards and guidelines.
- Network with other Business Analysts for peer review and knowledge sharing.
- Manage projects in-line with internal project services processes.
Required Qualifications:
- 5-10+ years of experience in a Business Analyst role or a similar position.
- Demonstrated experience leading/facilitating workshops.
- Excellent communication and networking skills to build relationships with technical/non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong business and commercial acumen.
- IIBA Level 1 (CCBA) accredited, or with experience in all BABOK knowledge areas.
Preferred Qualifications:
- IIBA Level 2 (CBAP) accredited.
- Project management experience and accreditation.
- Broad understanding and appreciation of the IT technology deployed within enterprise and field applications.
Experience:
- Previous experience working in an Oil & Gas environment is highly regarded.
- Alaska experience is preferred.
