The Company
A listed innovative tech company. As a result of new and emerging technology products (this isn’t the first), we are looking for Android Developers to help resolve design and coding issues and integrate into applications used.
About the Role:
As an Android Developer, you will play a crucial role in the development team, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

This is a permanent role based in Perth with 1 WFH day per week including flexible hours and other benefits.
Responsibilities:
- Reporting to and receiving instructions from the Principal Engineer.
- Contributing to the development of SDKs and supporting cloud integration.
- Actively engaging with the Core team to resolve challenging design and coding issues.
- Contributing to technological innovation by exploring cutting-edge hardware, software, and methods.
- Working closely with Research and Innovation and Product and Experience teams.
- Ensuring project reliability, performance, and ease of maintenance.
Requirements:
- A background in multi-threaded programming.
- A solid foundation in programming with the ability to think, communicate, and code clearly.
- A strong understanding of object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithms.
- A proven record of quality code by following standard coding practices and process (e.g following code style guidelines and implementing unit tests)
- Experience with modern build pipeline tools such as CI/CD, code coverage of unit tests, peer review process using Pull Requests, and code documentation generation.
- Demonstrated experience of Native (Java/Kotlin) Android Development.
- Experience working with C++ and Java Native Interface.
- Experience publishing with Gradle and Maven library distribution is highly regarded.
- Possess a Full Australian Working rights VISA.
Qualifications
A tertiary qualification or equivalent is highly regarded but not essential.

Responsibility:
- Responsible for software design and architecture. Responsible of making design choices and defining technical standards.
- Responsible for the quality of the emerging software product by reviewing the architecture, software-coding standards, tools and platforms.
- Support the global implementation of Atoss Workforce Management and responsibility for the overall IT configuration.
- Leading the global implementation of technical processes and configurations.
- Consulting and conception of solutions in Workforce Management issues in close collaboration with the process owner
- Supporting the following modules from a technical perspective: Time and attendance (Time capturing, assessment, compliance, absence), demand driven forecasting: short term & long term, staff allocation
- Supporting, testing and providing training for the solutions.
- Global operation of Workforce Management (second/third level support) and establish ongoing optimization and Application Management Services
Requirements:
- A minimum of 3-5 years practical experience in the implementation and operation of Workforce Management Systems (Time & Attendance, Personnel Resource Planning)
- Good functional and technical knowledge of Workforce Management Solutions (e.g. SAP, ATOSS, etc.) and experience in global implementation projects
- Knowledge in Atoss Workforce Management, SAP SuccessFactors as well as SAP HCM is welcome but not mandatory
- Excellent knowledge in project management and implementation.
- Good knowledge of design principles and business processes.
- Understanding and knowledge of system development life cycle methodologies
- Understanding and knowledge of IT service management (ITSM) and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL).
- Understanding and knowledge of IT standards and controls
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Project and Stakeholder Management skills
- Ability to articulate new ideas and concepts to technical and nontechnical audiences.
- Ability to understand the long-term ("big picture") and short-term perspectives of situations.
- Excellent analytical, planning, organizational and technical skills
- Diploma or master's degree in information technology, business informatics or economics or a comparable education/professional experience
- A minimum of 3-5 years practical experience in the implementation and operation of Workforce Management Systems (Time & Attendance, Personnel Resource Planning)
- Experience developing architecture blueprints, strategies and roadmaps

- Configuring and customising the software according to business requirements
- Creating the build and perform the build deployment on your development and testing server
- Handover deliverables to software vendor cloud services team for productional deployments
- Support while productional deployments
- Understand database issues and help with resolution
- Troubleshooting together with software vendor support centre
- Supporting and advising operation- and project management in feasibility statements, effort estimations and development timelines
Requirements:
- PIM/DAM
- Major skills in Java and JavaScript
- Strong affinity to technical details of a business software solution
- Good knowledge of Linux\Unix OS
