IT - Support Services Analyst I

Work Location: Hides Gas Conditioning Plant
 

MAIN FUNCTIONS:

• Performs a variety of professional, technical and analytical duties in the operation of enterprise, client/server and desktop computer systems and networks.
• Analyses, detects, identifies and corrects technical problems and deficiencies. Configures and installs computer hardware and software.
• Manages inventory control of IT equipment and supplies.
• Upgrades hardware and software components.
• Maintains IT hardware asset and software tracking.
• Monitors and collects data on system performance.
• This position level would typically include junior Technical Analyst performing mostly basic tasks.
• Hardware support for Dell hardware – desktops, laptops, servers etc
• Hardware support (as required) for Cisco Networking equipment, Motorola Radios and associated servers, for various items of VSAT, Microwave and communications infrastructure
• Hardware deployment and relocation
• Software support for company standard operating environment and core business applications including – Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook, Lotus Notes, Citrix, Remote connectivity software
• Printer installation / support
• Support for mobile devices i.e. iOS devices
• Maintain asset records/tracking
• Vendor / service provider coordination

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Extensive working knowledge of PCs, network hardware, operating systems, software and network communication protocols.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Prior extensive experience not required
