This role requires 50% travel. The role is responsible for a subset of the Industrial Specialty customer base in Europe.
They are a leading producer of non-phthalate plasticizers, preservatives, flavor & fragrance ingredients and Benzoates & Intermediates. Producing from the world's two largest toluene oxidation facilities, they serve a blue-chip customer base including the large beverage makers and fragrance houses, as well as flooring and adhesive producers. Your responsibility is to be the main point of contact for specific accounts and to lead their activities on an assigned basis. This will require managing the account's fast paced and ever changing needs. The account manager will interface and communicate with internal teams as well as partner with Business Development to introduce new products to existing or new customers within their account portfolio. The account manager owns the relationship with the customer and will foster the creation of multi-level and multi-functional intercompany relationships. An account manager is very good at identifying the needs and wants of the customers and ability to meet or exceed those versus the competition. A successful account manager consistently delivers their annual goals and is a good example of account management.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required. Discipline in Engineering, Chemistry, or Material Science or related technical field preferred.
Sales experience in B2B -plastic/ coating/flooring is an advantage
5 years of sales or account management/development experience in a specialty chemical industry.
