Job description

The Position & Experience Required:

We are looking for established biomedical engineers with experience in the installation and maintenance of various medical devices, with medical imaging devices experience preferred for multiple role based in Kabul, Afghanistan.

We are interested in hearing from people at varying levels of experience, from level 1 engineers, through to level 3 engineers with management experience.

Your responsibilities will include the installation and maintenance of various medical equipment in several medical centres across Kabul. You will be expected to be experienced in both electronics and working in a medical environment. There will be several devices to be maintained, but the skill to maintain medical imaging equipment is also desired. The role consists working back-to-back with another team of biomedical engineers on a 6 weeks on, 4 weeks off basis as follows:

  • 6 weeks in field
  • 2 weeks in an assigned office
  • 4 weeks off (partial pay for off weeks)

Strong communication and organisational skills are to be expected as well as the ability to function as part of a team, in occasionally demanding environments.

Profile:

  • Worked in the medical devices field for a minimum of 2 years.
  • Good working knowledge of installation and maintenance of medical devices.
  • You have strong organizational, communicative skills with good project-based mentality.
  • You are ambitious, autonomous and have a hands-on mentality.
  • Fluent in both English and Afghan Dari.
