Business Development Manager - Europe

Key Skills: Business Development and Sales
Location: Home based with high volume of travel
Language skills: Fluent in English - additional languages would be a benefit
Salary / Package: Competitive Basic Salary + bonus scheme + package
Timeframe: Role has full sign off and budget, ready to interview and appoint.

The position & experience required:
Exciting role for an experienced Sales Professional to join a leading European trading company, to develop sales of Polyurethane and Polyisocyanurate raw materials for flexible-faced insulation panels and steel-faced external cladding. This is a great opportunity to join a team of highly successful European Sales Professionals and be part of a successful European company.


You will be joining a European trading organisation which sources and supplies a range of polyurethane raw materials to manufacturing companies in Europe. Continued success has created a new role for a Sales Manager to develop sales in the insulation & cladding industry concentrating particularly on customers in Italy, Spain, Czech Republic and Romania. Depending on experience and language skills, the role could be broadened also to include Germany.


The ideal candidate will have sold Polyurethane and Polyisocyanurate products into the insulation and cladding industry. Reporting into the Headquarters based in the Netherlands, you will be joining an established team who will provide support and mentoring. You will be home based and willing to travel extensively.


Profile:

  • Good contacts and experience of selling into the insulation and cladding industry is essential
  • Technical background (chemistry, chemical engineering or related subject)
  • Proven track record of achieving sales/ profitability targets
  • Must have the right to work in the EU



Skills Required:

  • Specific knowledge of silicone surfactants would be preferred
  • Specific knowledge of other PU/PIR components e.g. polyols, isocyanates, catalysts would be advantages
  • Strong sales ability with good personal organisation skills
  • Fluent in written and spoken English - additional languages would be a benefit
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Team Player

  • Implement agreed business strategies
  • Develop and maintain good customer relationships
  • Achieve realise sales and business development targets
  • Timely and accurate reporting
