Business Development Manager - On Site Machining

Locations: Leeds, Manchester, Midlands or the South

Salary / Package: £35,000 - £50,000 depending on your experience and current remuneration + an excellent car allowance and a package that includes pension, health and dental

Interviews: Initial interview can be held at a time to suit within 1-3 weeks

We can genuinely consider someone based anywhere in England for this role. It will be a largely field based sales role, which probably wouldn't see you in the office more than 1 or two days a month.

The position & experience required

For this role, you will ideally have a technical background, and ideally, we are looking for someone from within the machining industry, or someone experienced with a technical/mechanical service or solution to the industrial sectors. Any area of on-site machining would be of interest including any of the following:

  • Milling, turning, drilling or tension bolting equipment
  • Pipe cutting, bevelling, boring, grinding & end-prepping
  • Heat treating, valve testing, leak sealing, portable measurement

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop a comprehensive pipeline of opportunities with a six month look ahead and ensure this is kept up to date on a weekly basis.
  • Develop and retain positive relationships with new and existing customers and foster positive relationships within our organisation.
  • Deliver an agreed annual individual Company target.
  • Develop, execute and achieve sales targets and expand client base.
  • Maintenance of client contact information within CRM system.
  • Follow the Group sales process, including creating, developing and maintaining a weighted sales pipeline and reporting.
  • Recognise and adhere to all Company HSEQ policies internally and externally.
