We are currently Recruiting for a Contracts and Procurement Manager for an exciting upstream project. This role is responsible for tendering, evaluation, award and post - award contracts management for the following work-scopes during the FEL3 (FEED) and execution phases of a Multi-Billion-dollar Oil & Gas Development Project

This role is a key member of the Facilities Leadership team. The estimated total contract value for the work to be performed is in the region of $3 billion with approximately 80% of the spend in contract services and 20% of the spend in direct material and equipment procurement.

  • FPSO
  • Subsea production system (SPS)
  • Subsea umbilical, risers and flowlines (SURF)
  • Export gas pipeline
  • Operations support

Role Description:

  • Develops and approves contract execution strategies
  • Develops and approves contract negotiation strategies
  • Develops and approves contract and procurement terms, conditions, compensation philosophies and contract exhibits
  • Develops and approves project logistics arrangements including warehousing, freight forwarding, marine vessel and helicopter transport
  • Develops and approves project and operations inventory management processes including receiving, staging, storage and warehousing, issuing, material handling and control and surplus / salvage management of materials / spares
  • Prepares Supply Chain related CPMS deliverables at assurance gate funding reviews and at other CPMS and corporate assurance reviews

Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelors' degree in Engineering, Finance, Business or equivalent
  • Minimum of 15 years of contracting experience, including 10 years of major international oil / gas project experience
  • Experience in contracting and procurement on a major upstream capital project
  • Effective communication, negotiating and interpersonal/ teamworking skills
  • Analytical/technical skills with a practical approach to problem solving
  • Previous experience of working in Australia and knowledge of regulatory regime
  • Previous experience of offshore subsea and FPSO projects
  • Previous experience of claims management
