Document & Data Controller - Contract - Gladstone, QLD

Our client an integrated energy sector major is seeking a Document and Data Controller to join the Information Management Team in Gladstone, Queensland.

You will be required to manage, administer and support the Document and Data Control Lead in the management and control of document deliverables.


The Document and Data Controller will report directly to the Document and Data Control Lead, under the leadership of the Information and Data Lead.
You will be a part of the company IM CC team managed by the Asset Information Manager. The Document and Data Controller must adhere to the annual HR cycle and meet deadlines within the appropriate timeframes.
As the successful applicant you will be required to effectively work and communicate in a highly virtualised environment within in a geographically diverse and multicultural team.
There may be a requirement to travel interstate for team workshops, training and Document Control pertaining to on-site project support.


Extensive experience in the oil & gas industry preferably across different process areas
Demonstrated leadership experience in designing, implementing, operating and maintaining robust information management (data/ document/content/records/knowledge) strategies, systems, guidelines, processes and procedures
Demonstrated leadership of interaction with a range of stakeholders at all levels to manage change while working collaboratively across and beyond organisational structures to deliver the scope of work in line with business objectives
Exposure to management of critical Data & Information in different process areas related to maintenance, production, planning etc.

Technical and Business Skills:

Knowledge of cross-discipline engineering data / documents (requirements and use) and discipline approval processes within project teams (desirable).
Knowledge of Records Management principles and implementation methods.
Experience in using industry standard Document Management Systems as well as in using (at least some of) project reporting software such as Crystal, Business Objects, MS Access, and Excel (desirable); * Previous experience using Bentley products (i.e. eB, AssetWise, Project Wise, EDW) McLaren, Primavera Unifier will be highlight regarded.
Typical Experience: Previous experience in engineering IM is desirable, 5 years Data / Document Control or similar experience and 2 years' experience in Oil and Gas industry.

This is an immediate requirement and is a local position based in Gladstone. This is a mid to long term requirement, the business line is prepared to speak with applicants looking to relocate for this opportunity.
