Field supervisor / Work planner

Start Date February 2018

Duration: 6 Months

Job Purpose:

The elaboration, preparation, planning and supervision of civil activities (predominantly restoring external conservation) to above-ground storage tanks and piping while the tank and / or pipeline is in operation. Quality assurance will also be an important part of the work.WTB activities can also occur, but this is expected to be a smaller part of the work package.This work results from CAIRS (Corrective Action Inspection Request) which are initiated by the inspection department and must be performed for due dates.

Accountabilities:

Developing the scope for all professional disciplines.

Requesting / challenging offers and outsourcing.

Planning the work in consultation with Operation.

Supervising the work with HSE, quality, planning and costs.

Deduction of work carried out in view of the quality requirements.

Keeps his costs in control and provides a monthly overview of costs.

Manages his own work supply, schedules and reports progress on a monthly basis.

Key Challenges:

Good communication between Tank Turnaround Team, operation and Contractor is necessary for the efficient execution of the work.

Must be able to distinguish main issues and side issues with regard to work preparation this means the difference between the scope and the items that are required to be able to perform the scope.

To be able to find a good balance between the results of the 5 performance areas: safety; environment; quality; planning and costs.

Skills & Experience:

Minimum 5 years experience with maintenance activities in refinery and / or chemistry. Affinity with conservation and civil activities. Informed about quality requirements / standards regarding conservation. Organizational talent with good communication skills. Customer focused focus. Computer skills, EXCEL, Powerpoint, GSAP and Aim. Being able to apply planning and work preparation techniques (including budgeting, drafting of contracts / scope texts and calculating) Familiar with the outsourcing policy and being able to apply the outsourcing procedure. Being able to assess the number and quality of materials, equipment and personnel required. Familiar with the procedures for preparation and execution.
