Our client an integrated oil and gas major is looking to hire an HSSE Specialist to be based on site in Victoria. This will be for an initial 12-month contract Monday to Friday.
Loss Prevention System site subject contact. OHS issue interface for resolution.
Guidance and mentoring of Field Safety Advisors in their daily tasks and incident reporting, investigation and analysis.
Injury/Illness expert in incident reporting database - enter data, provide QA.
Check on data, extract statistics and interpret. Then support and facilitate weekly incident review meeting.
Site Safety Advisory Committee - ensure meetings held per plan.
Safety Plan Development, stewardship and execution and implementation/monitoring of corporate and SSHE safety programs/plans.
Emergency Response and Preparedness coordination - maintain guide, develop and execute drill plan.
Field time for safety observations and mentoring.
Analytical, communicates effectively, courage of conviction, manages risk.
Emergency preparedness and response.
Incident investigation and analysis.
Operations integrity and compliance assessment.
Operations integrity management systems execution support.
Risk assessment and management.
Safety management, safety regulations and standards.
Fundamentals of health.
Fundamentals of environmental management and regulatory compliance.
Regulation development and advocacy.
SSHE management - operations and maintenance, managing critical operations activities.
Associate or bachelor's degree required.
Demonstrated work experience in safety-related positions (including some prior oil & gas experience).
Knowledge of security processes and procedures.
Proficient in Excel, Word and Microsoft Office.
Read, write, and speak fluent English, as required to function effectively within a project team.
Prefer prior experience working in a multicultural / multilingual, emerging nation, environment.
